In the morning show, Alison, aged 48, asserted that she was coerced into giving large sums of money in cash to an individual who menaced her with the prospect of disclosing misleading information about her personal life if she didn’t comply with his requests.

It was Alison’s ex-boyfriend, Ben Hawkins (a man previously suspected of being a crack cocaine user), who had been in a relationship with Alison for approximately ten months starting from May 2022, who was the accused individual.
West Midlands Police has since dropped the case due to a lack of evidence, it has been reported.
