Alien: Romulus cast tease traumatic scares in new Alien movie

As a hardcore Alien franchise fan with decades of immersive viewing under my belt, I am beyond excited for the upcoming film, Alien: Romulus. The trailers and cast interviews have already left me on the edge of my seat, promising a terrifying and unforgettable cinematic experience.

The upcoming installment of Alien: Romulus is shaping up to be the scariest addition to the series, with moments that could leave certain audiences deeply traumatized.

In the forthcoming movie helmed by Fede Álvarez, a band of young space settlers encounter the terrifying Xenomorphs.

Before the upcoming release of Romulus next month, its actors have previewed some frighteningly intense scenes that are sure to linger in viewers’ minds once they leave the theater.

I personally believe that saying goodbye to a 12A is something you can confidently do. The midway approach with Fede doesn’t really suit David’s personality. If you want to instill fear in people, then go all out and truly terrify them.

Priscilla’s Cailee Spaeny added her thoughts, referring to Álvarez’s take on “Evil Dead”: “He naturally infuses unusual and dark elements into his work. It’s almost a reflex for him to create something bizarre and unsettling.”

When you’re at the tipping point of deciding whether to act, that’s when you can be sure that Fede is in his most effective and comfortable zone.

I’m excited to share that the upcoming production called “Romulus” featuring Archie Renaux, Spike Fearn, and Aileen Wu in its cast, is set to unfold during the time gap between the happenings of the first two “Alien” films.

Recently, Álvarez discussed Romulus’ position in the franchise timeline, sharing: “It seemed logical for the storyline to occur a few years following the initial installment.”

“Perhaps I’m the one who started the rumor that it happens between the first and second films. technically, it is true. Yet, to me, it feels more like an event that follows the first film. In essence, it’s a blend of the two movies in terms of visuals, aesthetics, and narrative.”

Alien: Romulus is released in cinemas on August 16.
