Alice Liveing gives birth! Fitness influencer welcomes a baby girl with husband Patrick Murphy as she reveals her sweet name and admits her arrival was ‘wild’ and ‘unexpected’

Fitness influencer Alice Liveing has given birth!

The 32-year-old vlogger shared on Sunday that she and her husband, Patrick Murphy, recently welcomed a daughter. The arrival came as a surprise, happening two weeks ago in an unexpected manner.

The couple, married for a year, announced the birth of their daughter on Instagram, sharing several cute photos of the new family.

Alice announced the name of their baby – Jeannie Isabella Murphy – and shared that they were cherishing every moment with their new child.

She hinted that the story of Jeannie’s birth was quite eventful and promised to share more details with her fans later. She also described her baby girl as a small and adorable ‘6 pounds 2 ounces of deliciousness’.

She wrote: ‘Creeping back online to announce the arrival of… Jeannie Isabella Murphy ✨

Our baby arrived in a surprising way! It’s quite a story, and we can’t wait to share it, but for now, we’re just overjoyed that she’s here, healthy, and safe. That’s all we ever wanted.

The past two weeks have been incredibly busy, and I’ve spent more time away from the internet than I have in over a decade, wanting to fully enjoy this special moment.

Paddy returns to work tomorrow, and I’m a bit anxious about it, but it feels good to be back and share updates with everyone as we begin to adjust to life as it is now.

We’re thrilled to introduce our sweet baby girl, Jeannie, who weighed in at 6 pounds 2 ounces! We can’t wait to share more updates with you all soon.

Alice revealed she was expecting a baby in June with a heartwarming Instagram post featuring a video of her baby bump.

Alongside the sweet video, Alice penned: ‘Some news we wanted to share with you.

I understand that getting to this point has likely been difficult, and receiving this news isn’t always simple. My thoughts and support are with everyone who is still going through it.

I didn’t want to keep this from you, but we’ve been holding off on sharing for a few personal reasons and because we were a little hesitant. I hope you can appreciate why we waited.

Alice shared that she and her partner are thrilled and full of love as they prepare for their next adventure. She’s expecting their baby in October, and the excitement is building!

‘Big big love and I cannot wait to get back to sharing so much more soon.’

Alice quickly received lots of congratulatory messages from her famous friends. Vicky Pattison wrote, ‘Oh wow!!! This is incredible news congratulations ♥️’, and Carrie Johnson, wife of Boris Johnson, commented, ‘Oh I’m so so so pleased for you Alice ❤️’.

Katie Piper, Kirsty Gallagher, and Frida Redknapp all shared their congratulations and excitement over the news.

I was so happy to hear Alice is doing well! She recently had a bit of a scare – a routine check-up with her doctor led to a surprise trip to the emergency room, which understandably worried everyone. Thankfully, it seems she’s recovered and is now sharing some wonderful news.

The popular blogger, known for her fitness-focused ‘Alice-with-the-abs’ image, shared a health update with her followers on Instagram Stories earlier this year.

Alice shared that she had to go to the emergency room after feeling unwell during a regular check-up. The cause of her illness is currently unknown.

Alice shared a photo from her hospital bed, showing a tube in her arm, and described a strange day. A regular check-up with her doctor unexpectedly led to a visit to the emergency room. She praised the National Health Service, saying she deeply admires all the people who work so hard to keep it going.

Alice shared a selfie and wrote that while she hadn’t experienced the eventful day she anticipated, it made her appreciate everything she has even more.

Alice announced she was home after being discharged, sharing a picture of her lunch – anchovies, dill, and capers on toast – with the message: ‘Home and grateful to be healthy.’

Alice updated fans on her health, explaining that doctors are still trying to figure out what’s causing her issues, but they’ve confirmed it’s not an emergency.

She explained that the situation is still unfolding and remains unclear. She plans to discuss it fully once she understands what’s happening.

It’s not a serious situation, and I’m okay, but I am worried and would like to find out what’s going on.

Last year, she openly discussed her health with The Sunday Times, looking back on her past image – often called ‘Alice-with-the-abs’ – where she presented a very fit, slender physique on Instagram.

But Alice revealed that her weight dropped so low, her periods stopped.

Alice, despite achieving great success as a cookbook author with impressive publishing deals, has shared that her strict focus on ‘clean eating’ negatively impacted her health, causing sleep problems, hair loss, and skin issues.

She recently shared that she was 25 and had just started dating her future husband, Paddy, when she went to a fertility doctor to investigate why her menstrual cycle had stopped. She was surprised by what the doctor told her.

Alice explained that a doctor had warned her she wasn’t eating enough and was overexercising. The doctor said this was stressing her body and could prevent her from being able to have children. She said those words were a turning point in her life.

After learning she might have trouble getting pregnant, Alice started a plan to gain 10 kilograms, which involved reducing exercise and eating more. However, she admitted it was difficult to consistently follow the plan and she sometimes reverted to unhealthy habits.

Alice’s career shifted as she made personal changes, and in 2017, she removed ‘Clean Eating’ from her Instagram profile.

Alice’s social media page now features positive images of a healthy woman inspiring others to get stronger and eat well to support their bodies.

She recently finished writing her new book, Give Me Strength – the same name as her fitness app – but says the writing process was difficult.

Alice said: ‘I bear a lot of responsibility for perpetuating a potentially damaging narrative.’

Honestly, I was surprised to hear her say she didn’t initially think she was doing anything wrong. But what really struck me was her saying she understands now and is ready to take responsibility for what happened. It’s good to see her owning up to her mistakes, and I think that’s a really positive step.

Reflecting on her time as Clean Eating Alice, the influencer admitted she frequently felt drained and often skipped social gatherings centered around food. When she did go to dinners, she’d sometimes pretend she’d already eaten to avoid participating.

Even though she often ate healthy meals like salads, Alice liked to present a different image online, occasionally posting pictures on Instagram of herself enjoying pizza with friends.

She admitted she felt most guilty about not being honest and pretending to be someone she wasn’t. She described her old Instagram persona as fake and misleading.

The influencer tracks her issues with food back to being a student at theatre school.

Alice says that after a year of typical student life – enjoying drinks and unhealthy food – a tutor advised her to pay attention to her physical health if she hoped to have a serious career in performing arts.

Alice was clearly hurt by something, and she responded by getting in shape. She started personal training, went on a diet, and quickly lost enough weight to go from a size 12 to a size 8.

She started an Instagram account to document her fitness journey, and it quickly attracted thousands of followers.

When she was 22, she received a significant advance – enough to change her life – to write books about healthy eating and losing weight, despite feeling she didn’t have the experience or credentials to do so.
