Alice in Borderland 3: First look, date reveal, cast, and more
In this text, we’ve gathered the current details about Alice in Borderland 3 that have been disclosed thus far, along with the anticipated release date on Netflix for your viewing pleasure.
2022 saw “Alice in Borderland” set a new benchmark as the non-English TV series with the highest number of viewing hours within a week. Excitement is building as we eagerly await the return of this highly anticipated season on our screens soon. The first sneak peek has already been unveiled by Netflix Japan.
Alice in Borderland 3: Date reveal
The highly acclaimed Netflix original live-action series based on the manga “Alice in Borderland” by author Hara Aso, has officially set a release date for its third season: September 2025. Back in late 2023, it was confirmed that the show would be renewed, and now we finally have an official announcement about when to expect the next installment.
Cast
For the main characters, it’s been confirmed that Kento Yamazaki and Tao Tsuchiya will once again play Arisu and Usagi in the upcoming third season. In the trailer, there appears a mysterious man whom we suspect may have a significant role in the plot.
It appears that Miyoshi Ayaka, our actress portraying Ann, may return based on some hints she’s given to fans through social media. Many believe that the voice heard at the 14-second point in the teaser is indeed hers.
Some people believe that the male character seen at the end is not just any actor, but rather Hayato Isomura, known for portraying Sunato Banda – a notorious serial killer who murdered four women, received a death sentence, and was eventually transferred to the Borderlands.
Ending of season two
In “Alice in Borderland 3,” the story unfolds following the climactic showdown between Arisu and Mira, the Queen of Hearts. Despite Mira’s attempts to deceive Arisu, Usagi manages to help him regain his senses, and eventually, both characters reveal their mutual feelings for one another.
Miria emerged victorious in the game initially, but Arisu discovered another way to potentially win – by not quitting. This unexpected strategy led to Miria’s demise under the laser, leaving the main character as the apparent winner, though this was uncertain. With all active players remaining alive, they faced a dilemma: either depart from Borderland or continue their journey. Only Banda and Yaba opted to remain in Borderland.
Eventually, Arisu and their fellow players uncovered they had been admitted to a hospital, following the devastation of Tokyo by a meteor. Survivors were transported to the Borderlands. But things seemed amiss because none could recall the events leading up to this moment. It was then that the Joker card made an appearance, tantalizing fans with rumors of a fresh season.
The character of the Joker remains largely mysterious as we lack extensive source material. With no further manga to draw from, all future interpretations will be original. Known for his unpredictable nature and game-changing actions, some fans speculate that the Joker embodies anarchy and deadly games. Others believe he might serve as the antagonist in the upcoming third season.
