Alice Evans looks strained in first sighting since she was kicked out of court for taking photos of ex-husband Ioan Gruffudd in child support hearing
As a seasoned observer of human dynamics and a connoisseur of theatrical drama, I must say, this saga between Alice Evans and Ioan Gruffudd is nothing short of a captivating spectacle that rivals even the most intriguing soap operas. The irony of their friendship with Burkhart, who seems to have her own share of contentious relationships, adds an unexpected twist to the narrative.
Alice Evans appeared stressed when she was spotted publicly for the initial time since her dismissal from the courtroom during her child support case proceeding.
On Monday, the actress, who is 56 years old, was temporarily dismissed following accusations that she had secretly taken photos of her former partner, Ioan Gruffudd, in the courtroom.
And the following day Evans was seen out as she ran errands in Los Angeles.
In simpler clothing, the mom of two sported a stylish look with a black vest, leggings, a blouse, a scarf, and a large brown handbag.
She completed her look with wayfarer shades and black sandals.
On that particular day, Evans decided to share on Instagram her reason for photographing her former spouse. She mentioned that she had spotted him conversing with a legal blogger, whom she referred to as a notorious internet troll, prior to the event in question.
The actress from 102 Dalmatians sparked quite a stir when it seemed she snapped photos of Gruffudd during a court hearing on Monday (at the Los Angeles Superior Court), an action that is generally prohibited, as evidenced by her bold walk across the courtroom to do so.
A court official escorted her out of the room, watching closely as she erased the files, only then allowing her to come back inside.
It can now be revealed that Evans’ actions were prompted after she saw Gruffudd chatting to legal blogger Andrea Burkhart.
Burkhart has posted a number of critical tweets and made several YouTube videos about the divorce case between Evans and Gruffudd although – as a criminal defence attorney – she isn’t retained by either side.
Ms. Burkhart shared a photo of herself taken outside the court, prior to the proceedings, with the caption: ‘Although this journey has been quite enjoyable, it’s now time to witness Alice Evans’ case in court today and see how she manages under such challenging circumstances as ‘poverty’.’
As a seasoned lifestyle expert with years of experience navigating various social and professional settings, I can confidently say that I’ve never encountered a situation quite like this before. To be standing in court, only to be informed that there is an individual who has been stalking me, hidden within the very room we now share, is beyond anything I could have ever imagined. This unexpected twist has certainly shaken my sense of security and left me feeling vulnerable. It’s a stark reminder that our safety can never be taken for granted, even in places we consider to be safe zones.
This road trip has been a blast, but now let’s find out how Alice Evans fares in court today amidst her challenging circumstances of severe poverty.

A while afterward, she penned down: ‘I did spot something QUITE intriguing that I had been attempting to capture in a photograph. It involved an exchange between someone else in the courtroom.’
I must admit, I was taken aback when I discovered her close friendship with another individual in our circle. The depth of her obsession is nothing short of remarkable and slightly alarming. However, it serves as a testament to the complexity of human relationships and the unexpected connections we can form throughout our lives.
Ms. Evans, despite being prohibited from sharing photos related to Gruffudd or his partner due to a restraining order, stated: “I wasn’t merely capturing her image alone.
I found it extremely captivating to discover the identity of the person she seemed quite close to, sitting behind her. However, it wasn’t exactly flattering since this friend was infamous for being a colossal troublemaker.
‘It’s one thing to be linked to the Tattlers… but this one?’
She later wrote: ‘I wasn’t taking a picture of Ioan. I was trying to get a picture of the stalker!’
Burkhart is a criminal defence attorney licensed in Washington and has 83,000 followers on her YouTube channel where she discusses various cases, including weighing in on the Johnny Depp/Amber Heard trial in 2022. She previously claimed Depp was a ‘hero’ for exposing his abuse at the hands of Ms Heard.
She has openly expressed her negative views about Alice Evans, whom she alleges is falsifying information regarding her financial status.
More recently, Evans mentioned on Instagram that she was subjected to over 250,000 negative comments on the platform Tattle Life.
The scene in the courtroom was tense as the former spouses found themselves seated across from each other, with Evans occasionally casting cold glances towards her ex-partner, who remained fixedly facing ahead while we awaited the commencement of a discussion regarding child support obligations for their two minor daughters.
On Monday, it was reported that Ms. Evans strolled into the courtroom and started snapping close-up photos of her ex, who stared back in disbelief as the event unfolded.
An LA County deputy quickly approached the British-American actress and told her to delete them.
‘Stop that. Delete those. I’m not asking you…I’m telling you,’ the officer ordered her sternly.
He told her to leave the courtroom before standing over the nervous-looking Evans as she obeyed his instructions to delete all the photos she had taken.
Eventually, the deputy permitted her re-entry into the courtroom, yet moments later, spotting her conspicuously clutching her phone, he asked her to step out once more to verify that no additional photographs had been taken and to deliver a second warning about such behavior.
As their three-year-long dispute continues amidst the ongoing conflict, the anticipated legal battle between them has been rescheduled for February 13.
The hearing will be held to decide how much spousal support Gruffudd should pay and determine child support payments for Ella, 15 and Elsie, 11.
At that hearing, Gruffudd plans to call his 32 year-old fiancée Bianca Wallace as a witness.
On Monday, Judge Stinn learned that both parties had come to an agreed-upon settlement. In this arrangement, Gruffudd will pay a temporary child support of $3,000 per month, and temporary spousal support of $1,500 per month until the hearing in February.
