Ali Abbasi’s Shocking Split from CAA After Groping Allegations at Golden Globes Party!
Director Ali Abbasi is facing allegations of inappropriately touching a well-known actor, resulting in him parting ways with his prominent management agencies, Creative Artists Agency (CAA) and Entertainment360.
The 44-year-old filmmaker of Iranian and Danish descent was reportedly under the influence when he is claimed to have inappropriately touched a well-known actor represented by CAA at the CAA’s Golden Globes after-party in January, according to Deadline.
The incident reportedly occurred at the Chateau Marmont hotel in Los Angeles.
From the grapevine, it appears that I was emphatically warned to keep my distance from the actor post the occurrence, whereas certain whispers hint at the demand for an apology from the CAA.
In light of the recent allegation against him, Abbasi has decided to part ways with the Creative Artists Agency (CAA) and Entertainment 360. However, he has yet to make a direct comment on these accusations.
It remains uncertain whether he departed voluntarily or was dismissed, but the separation occurred on January 27th. Notably, Abbasi is now represented by LARK in the United Kingdom.

He stated that he has chosen to change his professional path. He expressed gratitude for the contributions made by CAA and Entertainment 360, specifically acknowledging their dedication to ‘The Apprentice’, a project he is still extremely proud of.
‘I look forward to announcing my next steps at the appropriate time.’
The TV series titled “The Apprentice,” detailing Donald Trump’s early professional life, has earned two Academy Award nominations: Sebastian Stan was nominated in the Best Actor category, while Jeremy Strong received a nod in the Best Supporting Actor category.
Abbasi is up for an Independent Spirit Award for best director this weekend.
Abbasi’s filmography also includes Holy Spider (2022), Border (2018), and Shelley (2016).
Additionally, he took charge of directing the final episodes from the inaugural season of the widely-acclaimed HBO show, The Last of Us, which features Pedro Pascal in the lead role.
The Apprentice has faced legal hurdles from Trump’s attorneys seeking to block its release.
In spite of its difficulties, the film, starring Sebastian as Donald Trump and Jeremy as Republican strategist Roy Cohn, has generally garnered favorable criticism.
The movie that traces Trump’s property business has become the focal point of a media uproar following his own criticism of it.

The content encompasses disputed sequences, such as one depicting Trump allegedly sexually assaulting his former wife, Ivana Trump, and another showing him undergoing liposuction and hair transplant procedures to address a developing bald patch on the back of his head.
As a diehard supporter, I can’t help but echo Trump’s words when he branded that film as “fake” and “classless” on his Truth Social platform. He even predicted that it might flop, hoping for its downfall.
He stated that it’s an unfair, slanderous, and distasteful piece aimed at damaging the most remarkable political movement in the history of our nation, which was released just before the 2024 Presidential Election.
Meanwhile Abbasi said he considered casting a woman in the lead role.
At a D.C. screening, Abbasi shared that before he began conversations with Sebastian, he had contemplated whether an actress might be more suitable to portray Trump due to what he perceived as unusual body language. He expressed a desire to explore and manipulate this aspect, and they experimented with the idea.
As an over-the-moon fanboy chatting it up with DailyMail.com, I can’t spill the beans on who I’ve been in touch with regarding the Trump role on the silver screen, but let me tell you, I did seek counsel from the brilliant Cate Blanchett. After all, she truly nailed it playing Bob Dylan!
In the end, he dropped the idea, as it ‘became too gimmicky.’
