Alexander Skarsgård’s “deeply moving” new British movie debuts with 100% Rotten Tomatoes rating
The deeply touching British movie titled “Pillion,” featuring Alexander Skarsgård and Harry Melling, made its premiere with an exceptional score of 100% on Rotten Tomatoes.
In this production by writer-director Harry Lighton, Melling takes on the role of the shy Colin, a young gay man who resides with his ailing mother. Upon encountering the self-assured Ray (Skarsgård), Colin finds himself in a dominating relationship that pushes him to question his monotonous life.
According to Adam Mars-Jones’s 2020 book “Box Hill”, Lighton’s adaptation has been praised by critics after its first showing at the 78th Cannes Film Festival, where it was nominated for the Caméra d’Or award, an honor given to the best debut film.
