Alexander Skarsgard made a striking impression at a screening of his adult film, Pillion, wearing a backless halter top and leather pants with lace-up details.

Pillion, a new romance film, explores a gay BDSM relationship and stars Alexander Skarsgård alongside Harry Melling, known for his role as Dudley Dursley in the Harry Potter films. It’s the feature film debut for writer and director Harry Lighton.

The movie centers on a romantic relationship involving BDSM between a gay motorcyclist and a parking lot worker. It received enthusiastic applause at its first public screening.

I spotted Alexander Skarsgard making quite the impression at the London Film Festival’s Headline Gala premiere! He was on the red carpet Saturday evening at the Royal Festival Hall, and definitely turned heads.

Skarsgard’s outfit featured a white halter top with an open back, paired with black leather pants that laced up at the front. He showcased his toned arms with the sleeveless design.

He walked the red carpet with Jake Shears from the band Scissors Sisters and took photos with the other stars of ‘Pillion,’ all of whom were dressed in leather.

Following positive reviews at the Cannes Film Festival, it came to light that the film Pillion had undergone significant editing to reduce its graphic content.

The film earned an eight-minute standing ovation, though director Lighton revealed the festival version had been heavily edited to remove explicit sexual content.

He told Variety he avoided the image simply because he didn’t want to intentionally shock the audience.

‘So for example, there was one close up of a d**k, a hard d**k … like down the barrel of the lens. 

After seeing the film on such a small screen, I realized cutting those scenes was probably the right call.

Skarsgard joked that there’s a much more explicit version of the film than what audiences have seen. He referred to it as the ‘Alexander Skarsgard cut,’ implying it’s a more unrated and risqué version of the family-friendly release.

Lighton acknowledged that further revisions to Pillion might have been necessary to secure a release in the United States.

The story follows Colin, a quiet and unassuming man, whose life is turned upside down when he meets Ray, the charismatic leader of a motorcycle gang. Ray takes Colin under his wing, and their unusual relationship – where Colin is submissive – forces him to confront his ordinary life and ultimately grow as a person.

Before the film began, director Lighton explained he hoped it would be funny, thought-provoking, emotionally resonant, and sexually stimulating.

Despite containing explicit sexual content and featuring costumes associated with BDSM, the film was well-received by audiences at the Cannes Film Festival.

Melling plays Colin, a quiet man living a normal suburban life, which is completely disrupted when he encounters Ray, played by Alexander.

Ray begins a sexual relationship with Colin and introduces him to his group of queer bikers, adding a new sense of adventure and intrigue to his life.

Eventually, Colin began to feel trapped by always having to be the one who gives in to Ray.

Skarsgård has previously joked about his willingness to perform nude scenes, telling uInterview, ‘I’m Scandinavian, so naturally, we’re comfortable with nudity.’

The Swedish actor is known for his attractive appearance and also previously appeared in gay sex scenes during his role on the popular vampire series, True Blood.

One scene involved actor Theo Alexander, who was feeling anxious, and Alexander helped calm his nerves before they filmed it.

Skarsgard shared in an interview with PrideSource that the actor playing the character was heterosexual and understandably anxious, as it was his first time kissing another man.

He described a dramatic scene to Theo: a rival appears, and things quickly become charged with sexual tension, leading Theo to believe a romantic encounter is about to happen. But then, unexpectedly, his character betrays and mortally wounds the rival, causing him to violently disintegrate.

The actor said, ‘In just two minutes, think about the powerful emotions we’re creating for the audience. If we really go for it, this scene will be incredible and something we’ll all be proud of for years to come. But if we hesitate, it just won’t feel right.’

Alexander Skarsgård is straight and has been in a relationship with Swedish actress Tuva Novotny since 2022, when they had a child together.
