Alexander Skarsgard responds to rumor Taylor Swift wrote a hit song about HIM
In October 2013, pictures emerged of Alexander Skarsgård and Taylor Swift appearing affectionate, yet he has never commented on the speculation that his former love inspired one of her popular songs.
In simpler terms, the hit song “Wildest Dreams,” released by the 35-year-old pop star billionaire in 2015 (who reached No. 5 on the US Billboard Hot 100), tells a story of a woman begging her charismatic, tall, and extremely attractive lover to hold onto their relationship even after it has ended.
‘I can see the end as it begins,’ Taylor sang in the lyrics.
My only requirement is that you keep me in mind, darling. Picture me standing elegantly, wearing a lovely gown, gazing at the breathtaking sunset. With red lips and a healthy glow on my cheeks, imagine me there. Promise to meet again, even if it’s just in your most vivid dreams.
In the 1950s Africa-themed music video for Wildest Dreams directed by Joseph Kahn, Scott Eastwood portrayed the romantic lead opposite a movie starlet with raven hair, attracting over 975 million views on YouTube.
On Monday, Dax Shepard from Armchair Expert inquired of Alexander, “Is there a similar apprehension for you, whether to admit or dismiss the possibility that [the song refers to you], given the immense influence of Taylor Swift’s fans such that discussing it becomes unsettling?

Indeed,” the 48-year-old Emmy award recipient, who feels a connection with Taylor Swift fans, affirmed, followed by a lighthearted remark: “Let’s not beat around the bush; it’s about Brad Pitt, folks.
When asked about the line “He’s so bad, but he does it so well,” Skarsgård chuckled and replied, “Many people can indeed be bad, yet they struggle to pull it off convincingly.
To be completely transparent, I composed the lyrics for that song on my own and forwarded them to Taylor.” The 6-foot-4 Swede made another witty comment.
‘”Taylor, here’s what you should say.”‘
50-year-old podcast host admitted to Alexander that he’s been telling his ‘doubting’ 12-year-old daughter Lincoln that Wildest Dreams was a song about him, and they both sang along when Taylor Swift performed it during her Eras Tour concert in Lisbon last year.
At the concert we went to, TS clearly demonstrated his skills, and that’s enough for me to make my point. Here’s a video as proof, and I have nothing more to add. This was what Dax posted on Instagram back then.
This month, the 14-time Grammy winner is marking two years of being in a relationship with Kansas City Chiefs tight end, Travis Kelce, on a personal note.
It’s said that Taylor has penned numerous popular tunes based on various former relationships with people like John Mayer, Jake Gyllenhaal, Taylor Lautner, and Joe Jonas.
This month, Skarsgård and his fellow actor from The Kingdom, Tuva Novotny, are joyously marking the third birthday of their child.
Stellan Skarsgård’s offspring, who is often referred to as a “nepo baby,” also serves as the stepfather to the 45-year-old Swede’s two teenage daughters, who stem from her long-term relationship with Norwegian adventurer Nicolai Bjerrum Lersbryggen. In simpler terms, Skarsgård’s child is not only his own offspring but also acts as a stepfather to the two daughters from the actress’s relationship with Lersbryggen.

It was announced on July 10 that Apple TV+ has renewed the sci-fi action comedy “Murderbot” created by Paul Weitz and Chris Weitz for a second season. This means that Alexander will reprise his role as the private security construct in the upcoming season.
Alexander Skarsgård was both an executive producer and lead actor in Harry Lighton’s forthcoming romantic drama titled “Pillion.” This film received a prolonged seven-minute applause during its screening at the Cannes Film Festival on May 18th.
In the upcoming pop star mockumentary “The Moment” directed by Aidan Zamiri for A24, a two-time SAG Award winner is set to portray a stylish European artistic figure, sharing the screen with Charli XCX, Rosanna Arquette, and Kate Berlant.
Following a short spell as a child actor at thirteen, Alexander re-entered the acting world with an unforgettable portrayal of Meekus, a model who met a tragic end in a ‘bizarre gasoline-fight mishap’ at the onset of Ben Stiller’s 2001 blockbuster comedy Zoolander.
however, his portrayal as a 1,000-year-old vampire sheriff, Eric Northman, across seven seasons of HBO’s True Blood (2008-2014), significantly boosted his career popularity in America.
