As a long-time fan of Alex Jones, watching her journey through social media has been nothing short of captivating. Her decision to leave London and move closer to nature, after 14 years, is a testament to her desire for a simpler life for her family.
Alex Jones, along with her children and husband Charlie Thomson, were seen looking fabulous in green swimwear during their lavish vacation retreat.
On Instagram, the 47-year-old co-host of BBC’s The One Show, showcased her stunning appearance during a spontaneous vacation to the beautiful French island, Corsica, by posting some photos of her journey.
In a stunning manner, she displayed an enchanting smile while taking a selfie, then posted it together with photos of her three kids and herself enjoying the surroundings with Charlie.
For nearly a decade, Alex has been joined in matrimony with an insurance broker, and together they are proud parents of sons Teddy (age 7) and Kit (age 5), as well as their daughter Annie (age 3).
In the adorable photo album she posted, she offered a glimpse of their journeys, depicting moments where they frolicked on the nearby beach, wandered through local villages, and spent leisurely hours by the swimming pool.

We reserved a house via @vrbo in the southern region, not far from Porto Vecchio (a stunning coastal town), since I’d heard about its stunning beaches. To my delight, they lived up to their reputation – the colors of the turquoise sea and white sand were breathtaking, making them perfect for young children. While Ted spent endless hours exploring underwater life through snorkeling, he was amazed by the marine species he encountered.
The most astonishing discovery was the awe-inspiring mountains, where we had the pleasure of swimming in stunning natural pools. These mountains also boast charming eateries nestled high up on a mountain village named Zonza at their summit.
There are numerous opportunities for hiking and mountain biking, however, we’ll need to hold off on those adventures until our kids grow a bit more. Our little ones have taken quite a liking to a spot called Tyroliana – it’s essentially a climbing haven suitable for all skill levels and boasts a delightful environment.
Located south of France and facing Sardinia, this island offers an exquisite blend of French and Italian flavors in its food and produce. If you prefer holidaying among many fellow Brits, this might not suit you – we encountered only one other British family, and most menus and such are primarily French. However, for those who enjoy immersing themselves in a different culture, it’s an ideal destination.
As a seasoned traveler with a soft spot for enchanting destinations, I can confidently say that while places like Majorca hold a special place in my heart, I find the unspoiled beauty of this mysterious island to be truly captivating. Known as the Isle of Beauty, it certainly lives up to its name and leaves me yearning for more. The wildness of this location is a refreshing change from the more tourist-heavy spots, offering a sense of adventure and discovery that I find irresistible. With its stunning landscapes and untouched charm, it’s no surprise that I’m already contemplating a return trip next year.

The television presenter penned an emotional caption to go alongside the loved-up picture, explaining that the family have made the ‘big decision’ to leave London and move somewhere closer to nature.

Alex, who has served as a consistent host on The One Show since 2010, acknowledged that parting from her cherished workplace after 11 years was a moving experience for her.

We made a substantial choice to depart from our cherished West London home, where we’ve spent 14 blissful years. The main reason for this move was to provide our kids with ample outdoor space to play and an environment rich in nature to foster their growth. After nearly four years of diligent searching, we finally found the perfect place that suits our needs.
In a location that allows kids to immerse in nature, yet conveniently near London so I can commute to work. It seems as if this place had been patiently waiting for us to discover it. We truly feel fortunate ❤️.
Over several Instagram posts, the host has been displaying numerous stacks of boxes and inviting followers to join her on a nostalgic journey as she sorts through cherished keepsakes such as a baby journal and a memento box from childhood.
