Alex Horne got a “lot of stick” for surprising Taskmaster admission
Alex Horne from the show Taskmaster admitted that he faced some criticism, or negative comments, following his unexpected disclosure regarding one of the contestants.
For over 19 seasons, a star, often known as ‘Little Alex Horne’, has been working side by side with The Taskmaster, Greg Davies. Together, they’ve presented various celebrities with unusual and uncommon challenges on the show.
However, one particular star would not be welcomed back onto the show, according to Horne.

On the Chris Moyles Show on Radio X, Horne reminisced about a time when he was asked who among the Taskmaster contestants he didn’t want to see come back.
He stated that there is someone who appeared on “Taskmaster” whom he isn’t fond of, as mentioned in an earlier conversation with Chris Moyles.
Despite the initial query suggesting several potential contestants, Horne swiftly made it clear that he had just one individual in mind.
He explained, “I’ve faced quite a bit of criticism about that, and often when I participate in question-and-answer sessions, the initial query is always ‘Who are you?'” He added, “If you’re interested, I can gradually reveal more information as well.
When inquired whether any past celebrities had expressed interest in becoming the secret competitor, Horne responded: “Indeed, there has been some concern about that.
He further clarified that it wasn’t any of those who inquired, and added this: “If you consider the possibility that it could be you, then it isn’t you.
One competitor, however, seems to be off the hook, and that’s comedian Ed Gamble (from season 9). This was made clear by Horne, who stated, “Ed is someone I admire.
He seems rather insecure, so it’s not surprising if he might have asked me. However, it turned out not to be him, and he didn’t actually make the request.
Taskmaster’s 19th season is broadcast every Thursday at 9pm on Channel 4. You can also stream it on the Channel 4 website or app.
