Aled Jones insists he has ‘nothing to do’ with his daughter Emilia’s Hollywood success and reveals she still lives at home

Aled Jones has insisted he has had ‘nothing to do’ with his daughter Emilia’s Hollywood success.

The 54-year-old singer shared that his 23-year-old daughter, known for her role in the Oscar-winning movie CODA, currently lives with him and isn’t receiving any professional assistance with her career.

He told The Times that she starred in the 2021 film CODA, which went on to win three Oscars. He said she dedicated herself to the role, spending nine months learning sign language, and he couldn’t be prouder of everything she accomplished.

She started performing young, appearing in ‘Shrek The Musical’ in London’s West End at just nine years old. But going from that to starring in an Oscar-winning movie is an incredible achievement.

Aled, best known for his 1985 hit ‘Walking In The Air,’ says many people don’t realize that Emilia is his daughter.

He mentioned that many people are still unaware she’s his daughter, which helps him avoid any claims of favoritism. He also pointed out that his work on Songs Of Praise hasn’t given him any influence in the entertainment industry, emphasizing he’s had no part in her success.

Aled also mentioned in the interview that ‘Walking in the Air’ had been a big success for him when he was a teenager.

The celebrity explained that he received many job offers, and Sir Terry Wogan jokingly told him to take on as much work as possible. Wogan’s advice was that being busy makes it difficult for anyone to replace you.

Emilia recently appeared in the action thriller ‘The Running Man’ with Glen Powell, a well-known actor in Hollywood.

The movie, adapted from a novel by Stephen King (writing as Richard Bachman), was released last month.

The story is set in a dark future where a TV show documents criminals trying to evade skilled assassins.

The story follows a man in dire need of money to pay for his daughter’s illness, leading him to compete on the hit television show, The Running Man.

The longer a player lasts on the show, the more money they win, and Richards quickly uncovers the show’s hidden truths and the manipulative people behind the scenes.

It has so far crossed $68.4million dollars at the box office.

The 1987 film, directed by Paul Michael Glaser, wasn’t a huge hit when it first came out and received mixed reviews, but it’s since become a beloved cult classic.

Emilia will appear in the upcoming movie Tony, which tells the story of Anthony Bourdain. She will portray his first wife, Nancy Putkoski.
