In Santa Fe, New Mexico, a judge dismissed the involuntary manslaughter charges against Alec Baldwin during his ongoing trial on Friday, stating that the case cannot be brought up once more.

In simpler terms, Judge Mary Marlowe Sommer terminated the case against the shooters of cinematographer Halyna Hutchins on “Rust” film set due to the misconduct of law enforcement and prosecutors. They had concealed crucial evidence from the defense, leading to the dismissal.

Baldwin cried and embraced his attorneys after the decision was announced.
