Alec Baldwin’s daughter Ireland, 30, makes rare sighting with mom Kim Basinger, 71… after calling her family ‘poisonous’

Ireland Baldwin was seen with her movie star mother Kim Basinger on Monday.

People rarely see the 30-year-old Guess model and her 71-year-old mother, a former Bond girl, together in public, making this a special sighting.

They haven’t been photographed together in two years, but the mother recently appeared on her daughter’s Instagram in May.

Two famous actors were seen entering a Target store in Los Angeles on a bright, sunny day.

Ireland was with her two-year-old daughter, Holland, making this a sighting that included three generations of the family.

Hailey Bieber’s cousin was spotted wearing a casual outfit: a gray New York sweatshirt, peach shorts showing off her leg tattoo, and white sneakers. She styled her brunette hair in a top knot and carried a purse across her body.

The actress, whose mother starred in ‘9 1/2 Weeks,’ attempted to go unnoticed with a large hat and sunglasses. The ‘Never Say Never Again’ star wore a blue jacket, black shirt and pants, and pink sandals while shopping, holding a bright green bag and checking a grocery list.

This follows a recent post where Ireland described her family as harmful and self-centered, sharing what she’s learned as she approaches her 30th birthday.

In a recent Substack post titled ’30, Flirty and Surviving,’ Ireland Baldwin opened up about her twenties and turning thirty, including a candid reflection on dealing with her family, whom she describes as narcissistic.

She stated that she has freed herself from the emotional burden caused by her family members’ struggles with narcissism, unreliability, and addiction.

Turning 30 feels lighter because I’m finally letting go of the burden of supporting family members who struggled with addiction and were generally unreliable. I realized I didn’t need to carry that responsibility anymore.

I didn’t have a traditional family growing up – I was raised without both parents and didn’t have any brothers or sisters. This sometimes made my childhood feel isolating, and it led me to feel like I constantly had to prove myself to some family members.

Ireland said the realization of their toxicity was a liberating experience. 

I surprisingly valued their approval, but it was incredibly liberating to finally see how damaging they truly were. As I enter my thirties, I understand this is the key to ending these unhealthy patterns.

I want to shield my daughter from people I don’t trust and create the kind of family environment I believe she deserves. I’ll build that family myself, showing her what healthy relationships look like.

Ireland did not reveal who the specific family members were. 

I’ve always believed family relationships are incredibly complex, and this is a perfect example. She had a really tough time with her father, especially after a hurtful message he left her when she was just eleven. It was a deeply upsetting experience, and understandably caused a strain. Thankfully, I’ve heard things have gotten better between them over time, which is so encouraging. It just goes to show that even after difficult moments, healing and reconnection is possible.

In a recent post, she mentioned protecting her two-year-old daughter, Holland, from certain family members she described as ‘poisonous.’ However, she has since introduced her daughter to her own parents, implying the post wasn’t about them.

Ireland is also related to Hailey Bieber, who is a cousin.

Hailey is the niece of Alec Baldwin, as she’s the daughter of his brother, Stephen. She’s also married to the singer Justin Bieber.

I’ve heard through the grapevine that the Daily Mail tried reaching out to Alec, Ireland, and Kim’s teams for a statement, but haven’t seen any word if they’ve responded just yet. It’s pretty common for things to take a little time in these situations, so we’ll keep you updated as soon as we know more!

Ireland’s parents divorced in 2002 after being married for nine years. Her father later remarried and now has seven more children with his wife, Hilaria Baldwin. Ireland has been in a relationship with her boyfriend, Mitch Stone, for eleven years.

When Ireland was eleven years old, in 2007, her father, Alec, left her a very harsh voice message. He called her a ‘rude, thoughtless little pig’ because she hadn’t answered his phone call, even though she knew he was going to call.

Alec left a famously angry voicemail in 2007, shortly after his difficult divorce and fight with the mother of his children, Ireland.

Kim stated she didn’t share the recording, and her representative clarified that it wasn’t protected by a court order.

Ireland now jokes about the situation, referencing a 2015 Instagram post she shared with Alec where they were reading a children’s book titled ‘If I Were A Pig’.

Ireland shared a playful message, writing ‘If I Were A Pig… I would be Rude and Thoughtless of course!’ and included a pig snout emoji.

In 2017, during a playfully critical tribute to her father, Ireland jokingly brought up the voicemail incident, explaining that she and Alec have a much better relationship now. She quipped that he wouldn’t say something like that today – because she’s tall enough to defend herself!

A previously shared voice message from Alec Baldwin has reappeared online after Ireland Baldwin felt left out of a Father’s Day post. The post celebrated her partner, RAC, and his father, Arménio Anjos.

Ireland and RAC now live in Oregon.  

In May, Baldwin marked her daughter Holland’s second birthday and, in a rare moment, shared a photo of her mother, Kim Basinger.

She took to Instagram to share snaps from their outing at Triskelee Farm in West Linn, Oregon.

The snaps included a few with Ireland’s famous mother Basinger. 

‘Celebrated Holland’s 2nd at @triskeleefarm with our people,’ Ireland captioned the  post.

Kim was photographed with her daughter, along with her friends Abby and Maddie. Kim was wearing a brown straw hat and black sunglasses.

For the outing, she paired an olive green jacket with black pants. Kim was also photographed with Ireland and another woman whose identity is unknown.

The first photo showed Ireland, her boyfriend RAC, and their two-year-old daughter enjoying the event. Ireland was wearing a black puffer coat with black and white striped pants.

She posted another photo of herself with Holland and a friend, Maddie, as well as pictures of Holland interacting with animals. One adorable shot showed Holland petting a baby goat who playfully nibbled on the strap of her dress.

The post featured additional photos of animals, and another picture showed RAC with his daughter and Luke Carlson.

The final snap featured Ireland and RAC smiling while holding their daughter at the event.  

Alec Baldwin discussed how his difficult divorce from Kim Basinger impacted his connection with their daughter, Ireland.

Alec Baldwin explained on his reality show, The Baldwins, that his divorce and difficult custody battle with his daughter Ireland’s mother caused a lot of negative attention from the media, which he felt exploited the situation.

The process lasted seven years, with about a year and a half focused on financial matters and the rest dealing with child custody. He described it as incredibly difficult and admitted his biggest regret was the impact it had on Ireland.
