Alec Baldwin Faces Backlash from Halyna Hutchins’ Family Amid New Reality Show Launch

According to lawyer Gloria Allred, Alec Baldwin did not reach out to the family of Halyna Hutchins, who was fatally shot by him on the set of “Rust” in October 2021, as reported on Tuesday.

As a dedicated follower reporting this matter, I’d like to share that while several friends and colleagues of Halyna reached out to express their condolences to her mother after the tragic event on the set of Rust, the individual who took her life did not do so. This information was disclosed by the esteemed attorney, aged 83, in a statement made to Dailymail.com on Tuesday.

The Academy Award-nominated actor, aged 66, reportedly never reached out to apologize to his parents or sibling for his role in Halyna’s tragic death, according to Allred. To this point, he has yet to accept accountability for the incident.

Allred pointed out that the debut of Baldwin’s TLC series, The Baldwins, which portrays him and his wife Hilaria, 41, managing their seven young children, creates a poignant contrast following the tragic on-set shooting in New Mexico over three years ago.

In a statement, Allred pointed out that while the Baldwin reality show enthusiastically portrays Mr. Baldwin’s delight in being with his children, it overlooks the harsh truth that Alec Baldwin was responsible for separating a child from her biological parents. This is the distressing and genuine reality that Halyna’s parents and sister endure daily.

Dailymail.com has reached out to reps for Baldwin for comment on Allred’s latest statement.  

Allred commented, ‘Though Halyna’s family resides in Ukraine, they held a deep bond with her. In fact, Halyna frequently visited them in Ukraine, and her mother, Olga, made trips to see her in the U.S.’

They frequently talked over the phone and online, and their relationship with their amazingly gifted, artistic, and affectionate daughter was deeply intimate and powerful.

In May, as Olga Solovey and Anatolii Androsovych Hutchins (parents of Allred’s clients) along with their sister, Svetlana Zemko, submitted a court deposition request, Allred made public statements, according to People’s report based on the review of the filing.

Allred challenged the Glengarry Glen Ross actor to acknowledge the genuine repercussions of his actions and to swear to tell the truth about the situation.

In February of 2023, the filmmakers who survived initially brought a civil lawsuit alleging wrongful death against Baldwin.

In the 2018 Netflix documentary “Seeing Allred,” Allred stated that she prefers Baldwin to appear for a face-to-face interview at her New York office. Moreover, their conversation would be videotaped for record purposes.

For approximately three years, Rust has garnered significant attention following the tragic shooting incident involving Hutchins in October 2021. During this event, Baldwin was found to be handling the firearm.

The criminal case in Santa Fe, New Mexico against the actor was thrown out of court last summer.

Alec and his spouse Hilaria are the proud parents of seven children, who are all quite young: daughters Carmen (age 11), Maria (4 years old), and Ilaria (2); as well as sons Rafael (9), Leonardo (8), Romeo (6), and Eduardo ‘Edu’ Pao Lucas (4).

In a previous union with Kim Basinger, who is now 71, the Cooler Star is additionally known as the parent of Ireland Baldwin, aged 29.

In May, Alec discussed his extended family during a chat on the Our Way with Paul Anka and Skip Bronson podcast.

He mentioned that he has eight children, the eldest being his daughter who recently had a child. She lives in Oregon with her partner. Reflecting on his family, he remarked, “In nine years, my wife and I had seven kids together. That’s quite a handful!

The performer, known for several guest spots on Saturday Night Live, discusses aspects of his personal life and professional journey during the podcast interview.

As I grew older, I discovered that my interest in work began to wane,” Alec explained. “In fact, I still enjoy working and find it rewarding.

‘Nowadays, there aren’t as many intriguing films being made as I used to see. Furthermore, we’ve all grown older, and I strive not to replicate my past works.’
