Alec and Hilaria Baldwin spoke to their followers on Monday night after being involved in a car accident earlier that day.
Following a car accident, 67-year-old actor Alec Baldwin and his 41-year-old wife quickly shared videos on Instagram to assure everyone that both Alec and his brother, Stephen, were unharmed.
Earlier today, Alec Baldwin and his brother, Stephen, age 59, were involved in a car accident in the Hamptons. They crashed Alec’s white Range Rover into a tree, and the SUV appears to be a total loss.
Okay, so I *had* to share this. I woke up to a ton of messages about the whole car situation this morning, and I just quickly grabbed my phone. Honestly, I was still wearing the same clothes from… well, you know, *the crash*. It’s just been a crazy day, and I wanted to address everyone’s questions as soon as I could.
I had a car accident this morning, but I’m okay. My brother, Stephen, was visiting me on Long Island, and we’d been there all weekend for the film festival, he explained.
During his explanation, Baldwin paused to acknowledge and praise the team behind the Hamptons International Film Festival. He had been at the festival’s Chairman’s Brunch with his brother the day before.

Alec Baldwin, appearing visibly stressed shortly after his recent family news regarding his wife Hilaria’s elimination from Dancing With The Stars, was seen having a serious phone conversation near the site of a car accident. The New York Post reports the crash occurred in difficult, rainy weather on the Montauk Highway.
His younger brother was seen snapping photos of the crash scene.
The Daily Mail reached out to Alec and Stephen Baldwin’s teams and the East Hampton Police for a statement, but hasn’t received a response yet.

Alec’s white Range Rover collided with a tree, causing significant damage to the vehicle’s front end.
Evidence suggests he owns the vehicle. Photos obtained by the Daily Mail previously showed him with a white Range Rover on his property, and his wife, Hilaria, recently posted a funny TikTok video of them driving the SUV in July.
In a video, she pretended to sing along to Christina Aguilera’s song “What A Girl Wants,” and wrote, “Me, every time I have to parallel park.”
I couldn’t believe what I was seeing – Hilaria was totally posing for pictures, all flirty and seductive, *while* she was still driving and about to park the car! And poor Alec was right there beside her, looking absolutely miserable. He had this really grumpy look on his face the whole time, it was so awkward.
Just as Hilaria began to parallel park, the camera angle changed to show her and Baldwin exiting the car to swap places, with him taking over to complete the parking maneuver.
Inside the car, the yoga teacher glanced lovingly at her husband, and he offered a small smile as he listened to the music.
One of the photos from the crash scene showed a garbage truck, but the truck’s owner stated that the driver wasn’t responsible for the accident involving Baldwin.
Sean Connery, known for his role in ‘The Hunt For Red October,’ made a planned appearance at the Hamptons International Film Festival, held from October 5th to 13th. He serves as a co-chair on the festival’s Executive Committee.
According to a source who spoke with Page Six, he’s been busy all week attending movies and leading discussions.
Alec’s brother, Stephen, is also an actor, but he isn’t as well-known as Alec.
While he’s most famous for his role in the 1995 thriller *The Usual Suspects*, he also starred in the comedies *Bio-Dome* with Pauly Shore in 1996, and *The Flintstones In Viva Rock Vegas* in 2000.
Stephen is the father of Hailey Bieber, a successful model and businesswoman who is married to singer Justin Bieber. They wed in 2018.
He and Alec are part of an acting dynasty that also includes brothers Daniel and William Baldwin.
Alec celebrated four decades of sobriety last year after struggling with drug and alcohol abuse. He owns a 10-acre property on Town Lane in Amagansett, a wealthy area of Long Island.
The actor’s new estate, about 100 miles from his family’s penthouse in Greenwich Village, includes a 10,000-square-foot modern farmhouse with a pool, spa, covered patios, and a separate pavilion.
In October 2021, during the filming of the movie Rust in New Mexico, Alec Baldwin discharged a prop gun, tragically killing the film’s cinematographer, Halyna Hutchins.
Alec Baldwin consistently maintained he didn’t pull the trigger of the gun, and the charge of involuntary manslaughter against him was eventually dropped by the judge.
But armorer Hannah Gutierrez-Reed was also convicted of the same offense and began serving her 18-month sentence last March.
Rust first premiered at a film festival in Poland last September, and it recently opened in the United States, where reviews have been sharply divided.
This January, Alec Baldwin sued members of the Santa Fe, New Mexico District Attorney’s office, claiming they wrongly charged him in connection with the on-set shooting and violated his civil rights. He alleges this constitutes malicious prosecution.
Baldwin stated he’d only cocked the gun’s hammer, not squeezed the trigger, but it still discharged.
Director Joel Souza was also injured in the incident.
According to the Associated Press, Alec Baldwin and his lawyers have filed a court document claiming prosecutors are unfairly blaming him for the actions of others, even without supporting evidence or legal justification.
In 2024, the charges against Baldwin were dropped when it was revealed that the prosecution had hidden evidence. This evidence included information about live ammunition brought to the set by a retired police officer, which could have been connected to the shooting death of Hutchins, but was not shared with the defense.
The ammunition was filed under a separate case number and Baldwin’s legal team was not notified.
Following the end of the case against Baldwin, the armorer, Hannah Gutierrez-Reed, requested the court either overturn her conviction or grant her a new trial.
A judge dismissed Alec Baldwin’s lawsuit claiming he was wrongly prosecuted in July. The case had stalled because neither Baldwin nor the opposing side submitted any new information or took action for several months.
As a longtime follower of this case, I was surprised to hear what Alec Baldwin’s lawyer, Luke Nikas, had to say after the dismissal. He basically downplayed the whole thing, calling the judge’s decision insignificant – a ‘non-event,’ as he put it to the Daily Mail. It really felt like he was trying to minimize the impact of what happened.
Nikas, a partner at the law firm Quinn Emanuel Urquhart & Sullivan, stated that the court put the case on hold without dismissing it entirely, as they are still planning to pursue prosecution.
We’ve been trying to reach a settlement with the people suing us, and if those talks don’t succeed quickly, we’ll refile the lawsuit right away.
