The quick turn ability and the option to invert the X axis are long overdue features that I’ve been yearning for. And let’s face it, who doesn’t appreciate a game that caters to our desire to enjoy a gripping story without the constant fear of meeting an untimely demise?
Tomorrow marks the release of the “The Lake House” DLC for Alan Wake 2, but developer Remedy Entertainment is also offering an Anniversary Update for all players. This update, as stated by the studio, includes the most significant enhancements to quality of life and accessibility features that the game has seen so far.
At the community’s repeated request, the Anniversary Update introduces a swift maneuvering feature into Alan Wake 2, along with an option to swap the horizontal X and vertical Y axes, as well as various settings for those who prefer immersing themselves in the story without the threat of untimely demise. Additionally, there are new accessibility features included, which is undeniably beneficial for all players.
The update offers features like ‘auto-completed Quick Time Events’, where multiple button taps are replaced by a single tap, and the option to carry out actions such as weapon charging, using healing items, and activating the lightshifter with simple taps. Additional options include invincible players, immortal players, one-shot kills, unlimited ammo, and perpetual flashlight batteries.
Tomorrow, October 22nd, you’ll find not only the much-anticipated DLC for The Lake House but also the complimentary Anniversary Update in Alan Wake 2.
