Alan Cumming replaces David Tennant as host of the EE BAFTA Film Awards

Alan Cumming will return to the role of Nightcrawler in the upcoming Avengers: Doomsday film next year. But first, he’s taking on another exciting job – hosting the 2026 EE BAFTA Film Awards on February 22nd.

BAFTA has named Alan Cumming as the new host of the EE BAFTA Film Awards, succeeding David Tennant who hosted in 2024 and 2025. Cumming is already familiar with BAFTA events, having previously hosted the 2025 BAFTA Television Awards. He currently hosts the US version of the show The Traitors.
