Al Pacino, 84, reveals which famous girlfriend was ‘the closest I’ve ever come to getting married’

For several years, he’s had relationships with numerous well-known celebrities such as Diane Keaton, Tuesday Weld, Jill Clayburgh, and Veruschka, yet he has not tied the knot.
In June 2023, a man aged 84 years old made global headlines as one of the world’s oldest new fathers, when his partner, Noor Alfallah (aged 30), delivered their baby boy, Roman.
Apart from him, there are three adult children in his family: Julie (aged 35), born to acting instructor Jan Tarrant, and twins Anton and Olivia (both 23) who were born to the Coal Miner’s Daughter actress, Beverly D’Angelo.
Currently, in his latest autobiography titled “Sonny Boy,” Al reveals the reasons behind his lifelong bachelorhood, while admitting that one particular woman came very close to persuading him to tie the knot.
Al once mentioned that his experience that came the closest to marriage was when he dated Kathleen Quinlan, who played in Apollo 13, during the 1980s.
At a New York gathering hosted by the acclaimed acting instructor Lee Strasberg, where Al previously worked together in The Godfather Part II, these were initially presented.
At that particular moment, neither Al nor Kathleen were unattached individuals. However, their bond began to form, with Kathleen providing solace for Al during the production of his 1983 movie Scarface.
Following the wrap-up of the film, their relationship blossomed into romance, leading them on a journey across Europe. However, he declined to move forward and propose marriage.
He confessed that ‘it wasn’t easy to say no to marriage with a woman I love,’ adding that ‘It hurt when she left, and I carried the hurt with me for years.’
In the book, Al admitted that he had never been fond of marriage. He felt unsure about its benefits and preferred to steer clear of it. Instead, he aimed to dodge what he believed, in his perspective, was the impending agony – a ticket onto the suffering express.
Throughout his professional life, he has been romantically linked with several well-known individuals, including Penelope Ann Miller, Lyndall Hobbs, and Lucila Solá.
Additionally, he was involved in a fluctuating relationship with Diane Keaton, who played his romantic interest in the Godfather series. However, despite her efforts, she could not convince him to tie the knot.
She put a lot of effort into convincing him to make a commitment, and ultimately, in 1990 – the year when The Godfather Part III was released – she left him following her delivery of an ultimatum.
Back in 1971, during our initial encounter on the set of The Godfather, I found myself utterly smitten with the man standing before me. I shared this sentiment in an interview with People magazine.
She described him as charismatic, continually entertaining, and a chatterbox. There seemed to be a touch of the forlorn orphan about him, almost like an eccentric genius with a few screws loose, she mentioned. Additionally, she couldn’t help but note his good looks.
Last year, Al welcomed another child into his life as Noor Alfallah, his then-girlfriend, delivered their 16-month-old son, Roman.
This month, it became known that AL parted ways with Noor, who is allegedly starting a new relationship with Bill Maher, who is 68 years old.
In April 2022, Al and Noor developed a romantic relationship, but they had been friends for quite some time prior to that. Their friendship grew particularly strong during the periods of COVID-19 lockdowns.
It appears that Noor, who was born in Kuwait but brought up in Beverly Hills, holds sole physical custody of the child, while they share legal custody with Al.
According to court papers, Al made an initial child support payment of $110,000 to Noor, as stipulated in their contract.
Additionally, he was expected to provide her with a minimum of $30,000 per month in compensation, which might rise based on his earnings. Moreover, there was a requirement for him to contribute $15,000 annually towards an educational savings account.
In 2023, following Roman’s birth, Noor expressed that she didn’t plan to walk down the aisle with Al, stating that she was more of a person who doesn’t get married.
Yet, during her stay in Beverly Hills last August, she was questioned once more about potential marriage plans. On that specific instance, when speaking with TMZ, she replied, “I’m not sure.
At the tender age of 22, I found myself in an extraordinary romance with the legendary Mick Jagger, who was a sprightly 74 at the time. Yet, I boldly declared to Hello! magazine that our considerable age difference was never a hindrance for me.
