For quite some time, their romantic connection remained private, but here’s an exclusive scoop: TopMob unveils that AJ has been dating Peter Gibson, a creative soul hailing from Idaho who now calls New York home. The duo is currently making plans to establish a life together in the United Kingdom.

This year, Pete was seen backstage with AJ during her filming for Celebrity Big Brother. At present, he is employed at the brand agency Wieden + Kennedy, which has branches not only in New York (the Big Apple), but also in London and Mexico.

At the moment, the TV host is in Seattle alongside Pete, a former graphic designer at Apple and art director at Hypebeast, as they embark on making wedding plans together.

It’s rumored that the ex-Strictly contestant has been making covert visits to New York City to enjoy time with Pete. However, they both acknowledge that in the future, it would be more practical for them to reside in London.

According to a disclosed insider, AJ typically keeps her romantic connections discreet, however, regarding her engagement, her joy and excitement were so overwhelming that she felt compelled to announce the news to her online audience.

It turned out great for AJ that Pete resides in New York since it allowed them to date and become acquainted without unwanted scrutiny, and additionally, Pete isn’t frequently active on social media.

He is currently making arrangements to relocate to the United Kingdom, as he wishes to cohabit with AJ and establish a solid foundation for their future.

Given his versatility as both an art director and creator, it seemed logical for Pete to move, considering how rapidly AJ’s career is soaring in the United Kingdom.

It caught everyone off guard when news broke about AJ’s engagement, as many didn’t realize she was in a relationship.

Despite keeping her personal life private, it has been speculated that AJ, known for presenting shows like The Big Breakfast reboot and Channel 4’s The Bridge, had a past relationship with her ex-partner from Strictly Come Dancing, Kai Widdrington.

In the 2021 season of Strictly, AJ found himself going head-to-head with Kai. However, a few days before the grand finale, he had to withdraw due to an injury that left him no choice but to exit the competition.

Among the strong contenders for the victory in the show, she was one of the leading candidates. However, after sustaining an injury to her right ankle by tearing a ligament, she was forced to quit the final round, allowing Rose Ayling-Ellis to emerge victorious instead.

At the time AJ said she was ‘deeply upset’ that she was unable to perform. 

Showing her continued passion for dance, AJ recently posted a video on Instagram of her being spun by Pete, accompanied by a series of joyful family photos after their recent engagement party was celebrated.

Apart from that, AJ shared another tender, monochrome photo of the pair, with her giggling in Pete’s embrace, and within the last day, she uploaded an Instagram story displaying her sparkling engagement ring during breakfast.
