Actress Aimee Lou Wood from the show “Sex Education” has unveiled the trailer for her brand-new BBC comedy titled “Daddy Issues.” Additionally, an official release date for this hilarious production has been announced.

In the trailer displayed earlier, we find out that the story revolves around the character of Aimee Lou named Gemma who becomes pregnant. However, the baby’s father isn’t in the picture, so she seeks assistance from her father, Malcolm. Unfortunately, he’s not in a great place personally.

For David Morrissey, the actor who gained recognition as the menacing The Governor in the earlier seasons of “The Walking Dead,” this role allows him to showcase his humorous side.

In the official summary, it is revealed that Gemma became pregnant following an unexpected encounter.

Regarding Malcolm, he had a recent divorce from the mother of Gemma, who walked away with all their savings. He’s currently residing with another divorced man named Derek. However, things are changing as Gemma proposes that he move in with her once her flatmate vacates the premises.

Fortunately, you won’t have to wait too long before catching the show. It will be accessible on BBC iPlayer starting from Thursday, August 15, and it will also debut on BBC Three concurrently. A day later, on Friday, August 16, you can catch it on BBC One.

It’s been quite a busy year so far for Aimee Lou.

Recently, her drama series “Alice & Jack” on Channel 4, along with the film “Seize Them!”, were both released. She has also been cast in an upcoming movie titled “Sweet Dreams” and a BBC series called “Film Club”. Interestingly, she will not only be acting but also writing for this latter series.

Daddy Issues will air on BBC One and stream via BBC iPlayer.
