Aimee Lou Wood’s Met Gala Calm: Patrick Schwarzenegger’s Surprising Nerve-Soothing Role Revealed!
Actress Aimee Lou Wood, best known for “The White Lotus,” stepped onto the Met Gala red carpet for the first time on Monday. However, she wasn’t alone – her fellow cast member Patrick Schwarzenegger was by her side, providing some much-needed calmness to help ease her nerves.
In a recent appearance on the red carpet, the 31-year-old actress, known for her role as Chelsea in Season 3 of The White Lotus and the romantic interest of Walton Goggins’ character Rick, was seen alongside her 30-year-old co-star, who portrayed Saxon Ratliff in the series.
Initially, it was planned for them not to come at the same time, but during a chat on the red carpet with Good Morning America, Wood disclosed that they appeared to be sharing mutual anxieties.
Wood said that when he discovered Patrick and he could travel by car together, since initially they weren’t supposed to do so, they both reacted with excitement, ‘Yes, we should go by car together.’ As a result, they managed to make it happen.
She expressed, “It feels fantastic! It’s incredibly unique, and indeed, I’m thrilled that this is my debut at the Met. It’s simply extraordinary and yes, it seems like the ideal start for my Met experience.
Patrick revealed to Variety on the Metropolitan red carpet that he had personally invited Wood to join him at this year’s event.

He sent a message to Aimee. Since he learned that she was planning to arrive, he quickly messaged her and asked, “Could we possibly go together? I’m feeling quite anxious.
Here’s one way I could rephrase that sentence in a first-person perspective as a lifestyle expert:
“I mentioned, ‘As if by coincidence, she had been planning to reach out to me with the very same sentiment!’ To which she replied, ‘Indeed!’ Our paths converged naturally, and I found myself at her hotel doorstep. Together, we made quite an impression.
‘It takes the nerves out of it that you have a real friend to come with, ‘Schwarzenegger added.
On Monday, it was Wood’s first performance at the Met, whereas Schwarzenegger had previously graced the Met stage on three occasions – specifically in 2019 and 2022.
In an interview shared by Vogue following the event, both colleagues and close friends chimed in, with Wood expressing, “We’re absolutely thrilled! It’s a brand new experience for me.
Patrick mentioned he had been there thrice before, and suggested they explore the place as a pair. He further expressed, “We’re both anxious and scared, but having a buddy alongside makes it even more enjoyable.
As a diligent follower, I myself began my preparations at 5:15 in the evening, reaching the hotel by six. However, when queried about her own readiness, Wood indicated that she had begun preparing as early as noon.
Additionally, two more notable actors associated with the White Lotus series were present at the Met event, each of them gracing the occasion for the first time. They are Walton Goggins and Lisa, a member of Blackpink, known for her role as Mook during the series’ latest season.

Additionally, Wood clarified the speculations about an alleged dispute between herself and fellow actor Goggins, following their decision to no longer follow one another on Instagram.
She expressed that she thoroughly enjoyed collaborating with Walton, and it was an exceptional experience for her. Interestingly enough, she ran into him just two days ago.
Wood mentioned, “We haven’t had many opportunities yet to discuss everything thoroughly. As a result, whenever we meet, there’s rarely enough time.
In the final episode of The White Lotus Season 3, it was disclosed that both the characters played by Wood (Chelsea) and Goggins (Rick) were among the three victims, alongside Jim Hollinger, who was portrayed by Scott Glenn.
