Aimee Lou Wood Reveals Why She’ll Never Get Botox: Her Natural Teeth Are a Hit

Aimee Lou Wood has expressed her views publicly for the first time, stating that she’s against Botox as it limits an actor’s performance when facial expressions are restricted due to fillers.

Ashton, the renowned actor from “Sex Education,” aged 31, shared with The Sunday Times’ Culture Magazine: ‘I came across some women yesterday, they are the ones who typically get Botox treatments. We were discussing how evident it is that I haven’t undergone such a procedure.’

I strongly oppose Botox, as everyone should make their own choices. However, given that my profession heavily depends on these facial expressions, it’s not something I personally consider.

‘So I can’t start freezing my face, it needs to move.’

Actress from The Toxic Town is featured in the newest installment of White Lotus, playing the charming yet forgetful role of Chelsea. The highly anticipated final episode of this season was broadcasted in the United Kingdom on Monday morning.

Aimee’s large sticking-out teeth have stolen the show when it comes to the HBO hit.

She’s widely recognized as a ‘source of inspiration’ due to her decision to maintain her natural appearance rather than conforming to the surface-level beauty norms often found in Hollywood.

On the Johnathan Ross show, the actress from Stockport expressed her surprise at the significant influence her teeth seem to have on people, particularly in America, who find them remarkable.

The casual conversations among White Lotus enthusiasts regarding my natural teeth and lack of veneers or Botox, gives me a somewhat defiant, non-conformist feeling.

But her wide tooth gap has had such an impact, she is getting tired of being asked about it.

In 2021, Aimee shared with the Observer that she had experienced bullying regarding her physical appearance during her youth. Specifically, she was often teased about her body shape and her teeth.

As a result of this, the actress, having previously studied at the prestigious Royal Academy of Dramatic Art (RADA) and performed significant stage roles at the National Theatre in London along with other notable venues, felt that she would be unable to secure a television job due to her being considered ‘too unconventional’ in appearance.

About a year ago, Stylist inquired whether her teeth might pose an obstacle in her professional life. However, Aimee assured them that such wasn’t the case.

She explained: ‘I’ve been carrying this belief in my mind, a story I told myself. I thought I didn’t fit the traditional mold of attractiveness and that was a mental hurdle I needed to conquer.’

Simultaneously, Walton Goggins, her fellow actor who portrays her screen partner Rick, is contributing to shifting beauty norms regarding male hairlines. Many viewers find his receding hairline attractive, adding another dimension to the changing standards of masculine beauty.

A user on Reddit expressed their admiration by saying: ‘Walton’s unique features – half forehead, half teeth – make him even more appealing. He definitely has a handsome charm.’

Another added: ‘Walton Goggins somehow balding in the most handsome way possible.’
