Aimee Lou Wood dons dramatic period dress while making rude gesture in cheeky behind-the-scenes shots from upcoming film The Idiots
Aimee Lou Wood has thrilled fans by posting backstage snapshots from the upcoming movie “The Idiots” on Instagram.
On Sunday, the actress from Sex Education, aged 31, donned period attire and assumed the role of Fyodor Dostoevsky’s second wife, Anna, on a photo-sharing platform.
In a more natural and easily understandable way: Małgorzata Szumowska, the director of the film, along with her fellow actor Michał Englert, labeled these photos as, “Step aside Hollywood, it’s all about POLish cinema now!
In her post, she hinted at where filming started for the movie version of The Gambler Wife by Andrew D. Kaufman on the silver screen, specifically in Poland.
Aimee playfully and humorously gave a disrespectful sign in one photo featuring her in an 18th-century gown and headwear. In another picture, she was delighting in a cup of coffee while wearing the same outfit, with her hair elegantly braided in a long side braid.

Other snaps saw the star donning a straw feathered hat and dramatic pink dress.
She wore a Russian bear hat topped with flowers in another behind-the-scenes look.
In the movie, where Michał Englert portrayed Dostoyevsky’s character, Aimee stood alongside her on-screen spouse outside a grand estate.
More playful on-set footage saw the cast dancing in their period costumes.
Enthusiasts promptly shared their anticipation and admiration for the movie in the comment area, stating phrases like: “I can’t wait for this… My favorite actress… This seems fantastic… Aimee, you’re stunning, enjoy your time in Poland.

The announcement of the movie’s creation was made back in February 2022, but it wasn’t until this month that the main shooting started and the initial photos were unveiled.
A release date has not yet been scheduled.
Discussing the reasons behind her choice of acting career, Aimee, who has openly shared her struggles with bulimia, spoke to The Guardian about how: ‘Acting seems to aid individuals like myself in a beneficial manner.’
‘It helps you express yourself, or gives you a shield from “bad things”.
After her impressive performance as Aimee Gibbs in Netflix’s Sex Education, she continued to gain recognition by landing a role in HBO’s The White Lotus, portraying the character Chelsea.
The photographs taken for the movie were captured merely a few days following Aimee’s posting of a lively photo from Glastonbury, where she had spent the weekend with her latest companion, Adam Long, at the music festival.
The actress shared moments from her exciting Glastonbury weekend on her Instagram Story, featuring a photo with a friend.
At Worthy Farm’s festive gathering, Amiee cut a chic figure wearing a denim jacket on top of a vibrant red-patterned dress. She reveled in the event. Meanwhile, during her stay in Somerset, Amiee was observed laughing heartily with her recent beau.
Actor Adam is particularly recognized for portraying the character of Lewis Whippey, a convict, in the series Happy Valley. It seemed like he was having a good time at the festival, as he appeared carefree and relaxed in the photo alongside Aimee.
In the upcoming BBC show, Film Club, the duo was first seen locking lips about a month ago.
