Ahsoka Star Reveals She Won’t Be Back for Season 2 of Star Wars Show

One of the actors from the Disney+ show Star Wars: Ahsoka has announced they won’t be returning for the show’s next season.

What star won’t be back for Ahsoka Season 2?

Claudia Black, the actress who plays Mother Klothow, has confirmed she won’t be back for the second season of the show. In an interview with Bleeding Cool, Black explained that Disney is changing how the series is made, and she ultimately left due to a disagreement over her salary.

Black explained that while the show was renewed for a second season and she was initially brought back, Disney couldn’t meet her financial needs. As a single mother with responsibilities in Los Angeles, the cost of living while filming in London was too high. Ultimately, she had to leave the show, which she said was disappointing.

As a big fan of the show, I was really intrigued by Mother Klothow. She’s one of the Great Mothers – basically, powerful dark magic users from Dathomir who teamed up with Grand Admiral Thrawn. There are three of them, and they didn’t show up until pretty late in the first season, which made their arrival even more impactful, in my opinion.

Dave Filoni, the creator of popular Star Wars animated series like The Clone Wars and Rebels, wrote and executive produced Ahsoka. The first season takes place in the same timeframe as The Mandalorian and follows Ahsoka Tano as she travels the galaxy, investigating a new danger that has arisen after the Empire’s defeat.

The cast includes Mary Elizabeth Winstead as Hera Syndulla, Eman Esfandi as Ezra Bridger, Lars Mikkelsen as Grand Admiral Thrawn, Wes Chatham as Captain Enoch, Diana Lee Inosanto as Morgan Elsbeth, and David Tennant providing the voice of Huyang. Following Ray Stevenson’s passing, Rory McCann will take on the role of Baylan Skoll in the second season.
