Ahluwalia Makes a Restored Return to London Fashion Week for SS26

I was so excited to see Ahluwalia back at London Fashion Week! After a little break, they presented their Spring/Summer 2026 collection, called *Affinity*, and the setting was perfect – a really bright and beautiful space inside the NoMad Hotel in London.

The collection, as described in the show notes, delves into the many sides of love and represents a fresh start for the brand. Designer Priya Ahluwalia shared backstage that it’s about letting go of the old and embracing something new.

The collection featured well-made suits, striking denim, and outfits perfect for parties, designed for both men and women. The show began with a sleek grey suit featuring long, flowing red fringe, a beautiful and unexpected look that highlighted the collection’s focus on contrasts between restraint and freedom.

The collection played with contrasts throughout, pairing flowing dresses and tops with unexpected details like twists and knots, and featuring accessories completely covered in fringe. Silky, sensual dresses were balanced by more structured denim outfits and sharply tailored pieces.

The collection’s vibrant color scheme was a key highlight. Rich jewel tones like scarlet and sapphire were beautifully balanced with softer shades of pink, blue, and brown. This energetic mix drew inspiration from romantic films and stories Ahluwalia loves, including the lavishness of Bollywood, the classic drama of Shakespeare, and the heartfelt emotion of Motown and R&B. The colors were further enhanced by influences from traditional Indian miniature paintings and Nigerian mythology, particularly Oshun, the goddess of love and fertility.

Scroll up to see Ahluwalia’s full runway.
