George Clooney and Brad Pitt, known for their previous successes together, are currently topping streaming charts with a surprisingly popular movie from 2024. While they’ve starred in several films together, their most recent one didn’t quite live up to expectations.
Okay, so I’ve been keeping an eye on the streaming charts, and I just saw that George Clooney and Brad Pitt’s new movie, Wolfs, is doing really well! According to FlixPatrol, it’s currently number seven on Apple TV’s most-watched list. It’s not at the very top yet, but it’s definitely gaining on other popular titles like The Gorge. I’m excited to see if it keeps climbing!
Jon Watts wrote and directed this story about two investigators sent to handle a sensitive situation: the death of a young man in the hotel room of Manhattan District Attorney Margaret (played by Amy Ryan). Despite an initial dislike for each other, the pair are pressured by their bosses to collaborate and resolve the case.
After the Kid, played by Austin Abrams, surprisingly survives, the two fixers find themselves in a widespread chase that reveals a larger conspiracy. This conspiracy is slowly uncovered and ultimately points back to their own superiors, including Pam, played by Frances McDormand.
The film received a mixed response from critics, currently holding a 66% ‘Fresh’ rating on Rotten Tomatoes based on 181 reviews. However, audiences seem to enjoy it more, giving it a 72% score (‘Popcornmeter’) based on over 50 user reviews on the site.
It appears those plans are currently on hold. Watts has explained he’s not pursuing a sequel to Wolfs, in part because Apple released the film directly to streaming. Also, the original movie wasn’t created with a follow-up in mind.

George Clooney recently shared details about the next Ocean’s movie, including which familiar faces will be back. In addition to Clooney and Brad Pitt reprising their roles as Danny Ocean and Rusty Ryan, Matt Damon will return as Linus Caldwell, Don Cheadle as Basher Tarr, and Julia Roberts as Tess Ocean.
Clooney shared that the core idea behind the film – which starred Morgan Freeman, Michael Caine, and Alan Arkin in 2017 – really resonated with him. He said, “The concept of being past our prime but still clever enough to pull something off was appealing.” He added that the characters were facing the challenge of aging and needed to adapt to their new limitations.
Wolfs is currently available for streaming on Apple TV.
