Agatha All Along trailer seemingly confirms Wanda Maximoff’s fate

As a longtime Marvel fan who has witnessed the evolution of Wanda Maximoff from a troubled victim to a powerful sorceress, I must say, the new “Agatha All Along” trailer has me intrigued! The possible confirmation of Wanda’s fate, or lack thereof, leaves us all guessing. If Agatha is indeed receiving a sign of her demise, it would mark a heartbreaking end to Elizabeth Olsen’s captivating portrayal. But if it’s just a reminder, well, that’s the kind of mind-bending twist only the Marvel Cinematic Universe can pull off!

There’s a new Agatha All Along trailer, and it seemingly confirms Wanda Maximoff’s fate.

In the gripping conclusion of “Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness,” my beloved character, Scarlet Witch, suffered a heart-wrenching fate as a building came crashing down upon her. However, in true Marvel fashion, we were left guessing – thanks to Kevin Feige’s hints – whether she met her end or managed to survive somehow.

In the recently unveiled trailer for Kathryn Hahn’s standalone series, debuted at Disney’s D23 Expo, we find Agatha examining a corpse covered by a sheet, seemingly in an autopsy setting. She then retrieves a library card next to the body, which bears the Westview insignia, and the name ‘W Maximoff’ mysteriously disappears and is replaced by a date stamp for October 13th.

As a gamer immersed in this virtual world, I’m left pondering: Is this Agatha merely reminiscing about the name of the woman who ensnared me in this artificial police drama, or is she sensing a signal that Wanda might have truly met her end? For now, all we can do is guess and perhaps revisit the Multiverse of Madness to decipher when the scenario unfolded.

Further along in the preview, we get a glimpse of what the central theme of the series will be: Agatha assembles an eclectic group of struggling witches (with Patti LuPone, Joe Locke, and Aubrey Plaza among them) and embarks on perilous tests to reclaim her power.

In addition, we catch fleeting glimpses of the ‘Agatha All Along’ tune from the series ‘WandaVision’, as a reminder of its infectious melody if it slipped your mind.

As a gaming enthusiast, I must admit, the multiverse concept opens up possibilities for characters like Wanda Maximoff. It could very well be that Olsen reprises her role as a distinct variant of Wanda. Whether the MCU decides to explore this path or reveals an unexpected twist where she didn’t truly perish, it’s clear that Olsen has expressed a desire for a fresh take on the character should she return.

“The star exclaimed, ‘Now that she’s here, anything is possible!’ We’ve already accomplished so much, but now it feels like the real fun begins. Her character seems ripe for humor, and I’m excited to delve deeper into her emotions. I wonder what untapped aspects we can uncover. And ideally, we can provide her with a chance at redemption.”

Agatha All Along begins on September 18 on Disney+ with a two-part premiere.
