The dark fantasy series has certainly cast a captivating charm over me, leaving me on the edge of my seat in anticipation. It’s safe to say that Wandavision better watch out, for Agatha All Along has undoubtedly claimed its place among the top tier Marvel miniseries.

It appears that we’ve arrived at the finish line for “Agatha All Along” fans. The last two episodes of this popular dark fantasy series are now available on Disney+, and it’s a thrilling end to an outstanding Marvel miniseries. Be prepared, “Wandavision,” as you’ve got some serious competition coming your way!

Spoilers ahead from Agatha All Along episode 8.

In the second-to-last episode titled “Follow Me My Friend/To Glory at the End,” a lot unfolds. It’s revealed that Alice and Lilia are indeed no longer alive. Recall, Alice perished in episode 5 following Agatha’s absorption of her power, which drained her life energy. Lilia succumbed to death in episode 7 when she chose to sacrifice herself for the coven by staying behind after the trial to combat the Salem Seven. In episode 8, Rio, also known as Death, verifies their demise during a conversation with Agatha on The Road.

With only Agatha, Billy, and Jen remaining, they move forward to complete their final test. In this trial, Jen manages to reclaim her powers following an unbinding ceremony she performs on Agatha – a fact we learn in this episode was due to Agatha being the one who bound her earlier. Notably, shortly after regaining her abilities, Jen mysteriously vanishes.

Afterward, it’s Billy’s turn, assisted by Agatha, who manages to locate an empty vessel for his brother Tommy, who had gone missing, to occupy. However, Billy mysteriously vanishes. It seems that Agatha has escaped any punishment, but upon completing her trial and exiting the Road, she encounters Rio. Now, she’s back in Westview, standing in her front yard. Perched atop Agatha’s house is Rio, waiting to claim what he’s owed. They had a prior agreement: Agatha would hand over Billy to him, and then he would leave her alone forever. However, Agatha failed to honor their agreement, so now Rio is poised to take his revenge on Agatha instead.

Luckily for me, Billy shows up just in the nick of time, passing on some of his powers so I can stand a chance against Rio. However, we both realize that defeating Death is an impossible task, so our brief fight comes to an end. In the end, I’m overcome by Rio. After sharing a heartfelt kiss with her, I collapse to the ground and feel my life force draining away. Soon, a beautiful array of colorful flowers starts blooming where I once stood.

Billy steps back into his Eastview residence and surveys his bedroom, finding numerous items reminiscent of the Witches’ Road scattered about. As pieces of the puzzle fall into place, he suddenly comprehends that he had unknowingly been connected to the Witches’ Road all along. Spooky!

Spoilers from Agatha All Along episode 9 ahead.

Agatha All Along series finale explained: Breaking down that epic conclusion

The final episode of Agatha All Along is all about Agatha’s backstory

In the ninth episode entitled “Maiden Mother Crone,” we journey back to the year 1750, where a youthful Agatha delivers a baby boy named Nicholas Scratch in the forest. However, just prior to her delivery, a young figure resembling Death appears and forewarns her that one fateful day, she’ll come to claim him.

For six years, Agatha spends her time traveling around the woods with Nicholas, killing witches to “survive.” At least, that’s what she tells Nicholas. One night, Rio appears while Agatha and Nicholas are sleeping. Nicholas wakes up out of his sleep, and Rio beckons for him to go with her. Agatha then wakes up the next morning to discover that Nicholas is dead.

As she sings a melancholic rendition of The Ballad of the Witches’ Road, a tune they had originally composed with Nicholas, Agatha prepares a resting place for him. Suddenly, another witch emerges upon hearing her song and requests to accompany Agatha along the Witches’ Road. However, it becomes clear that this legendary path is merely a figment of their collective imagination.

Following the witch’s plea, Agatha perceived it as another prospective scam. For centuries, she would create covenants and deceive them into believing that the Path of Witches is real, only to siphon their power and ultimately eliminate them. This was her scheme from the start when she established the coven with Jen, Lilia, Alice, and Sharon in episode 2, but her plan fell apart when Billy somehow summoned a genuine Witches’ Road.

Is Agatha really dead in Agatha All Along?

It seems tragic that Agatha has indeed passed away. After delving into her past, we return to the present, finding Billy in his room, discovering he’s connected to the Witches’ Road. In a startling turn of events, Agatha, now a spectral presence, materializes in Billy’s room. They engage in a heartfelt and intense discussion.

Billy feels remorseful as he believes his actions led to Alice, Lilia, and Sharon’s deaths because he brought the Witches’ Road to life. However, Agatha attempts to console him by pointing out that at least Jen managed to survive. The scene transitions to Jen emerging from beneath the ground. She uses her abilities before soaring off into the sunset.

Tired of Agatha’s mischief, Billy decides to confront her directly. He heads to Agatha’s house and makes his way down to the basement where the gateway to the Witches’ Road remains open. Predictably, Agatha follows him. In an attempt to rid himself of her forever, Billy tries casting a banishment spell, but it fails. Frustrated, he inquires from Agatha why the spell didn’t work, and she exclaims, “It won’t work because I can’t confront him!” She is referring to her son Nicholas.

Following this revelation, Billy reconsiders his plan to exile Agatha to the afterlife. Instead, he attempts to console her by expressing faith that Nicholas will pardon her actions. They reach an accord and decide to team up in search of Tommy. Once Billy shuts the portal to the Witches’ Road, he swings open the door to Agatha’s basement and they proceed towards it for their departure.
