As you journey through this mysterious world, you’ll encounter unusual objects and occurrences that have drastically changed the landscape. You’ll be able to manage a group of up to three characters to collect, create items, or engage in combat with enemies. The advantage here is that the game isn’t strictly idle, as your team can continue their tasks even when you’re not around due to the semi-idle system.
Strategic combat, flexible play, and no pay-to-win in a rich retro-themed 1980s world
As a gamer, I can’t wait to dive into this game that doesn’t restrict my progress or push me into social interactions. The strategic turn-based combat is flexible, allowing me to step in when I choose. What really excites me though, is the vast array of weapons and armor to experiment with, each one offering a unique edge against the diverse monsters I’ll encounter, each with their own special abilities and behaviors.
In summary, this game appears highly engaging due to its 1980s aesthetic, multiple factions, semi-automatic gameplay style, a player-controlled economy, intriguing storylines and quests, secret stashes, and enigmatic CELL groups. It also features PvP mechanics involving territory control, and the exciting aspect is that it doesn’t rely on pay-to-win tactics, making me keen to give it a go.

This year, Afterglow will debut on both Android and iOS devices. At present, it’s undergoing closed alpha testing. To join in, simply complete the playtesting access application form. If chosen, don’t forget to review their testing guidelines for an enjoyable journey.
