Be warned: this contains spoilers for Fire Country Season 4, Episode 8, titled “Fresh Start”! If you haven’t seen it yet, proceed with caution. You can watch the episode Fridays at 9 p.m. Eastern on CBS, or stream it with a Paramount+ subscription.
The second-to-last episode of Fire Country this season, titled “Fresh Start,” definitely delivered on its promise. Not only did the episode bring Three Rock back online and introduce new inmates, but we also met Chloe, played by Alona Tal. She appears to be a potential new love interest for Bode, played by Max Thieriot, which is great news since the actors have a history working together on SEAL Team. Beyond their reunion, I’m excited about what Chloe and her family might bring to the rest of Season 4.
This episode reveals a past connection between Chloe and Bode, including a mutual romantic interest—which is interesting given that the actor playing Bode, Tal, previously starred alongside Chloe’s actress as a love interest in SEAL Team. We also meet Chloe’s teenage son, Tyler, played by Conor Sherry.
Throughout the episode, Bode learns that Tyler—the young man assisting at the firehouse and becoming friendly with the firefighters—is actually Chloe’s son.

I’m really excited to see how Fire Country and Sheriff Country are connecting, both with the actors and the people working on the shows.
The show reveals Tyler’s father, Landon (Sean McDermitt), is abusive and disliked by Chloe. Furthermore, he’s a potential suspect in the fire that destroyed Three Rock and caused Vince’s death.
Based on recent events, it seems likely that Chloe, Tyler, and Landon will play significant roles in the upcoming episode. I’m really hoping, though, that Chloe and Tyler continue to be part of the show for the rest of Season 4 and even in future seasons.
It was fantastic to see the cast of SEAL Team reunite! The connection between Tal and Thieriot is wonderful – they clearly have great chemistry from their previous work together, and it’s been really enjoyable to watch them together again on Fire Country. That alone makes me look forward to seeing how Chloe and Bode’s story develops.
I’m especially hopeful about how Bode and Tyler can positively influence each other. I’d love to see their friendship, and Bode’s connection with Chloe, develop into a continuing part of the story.
Now that Audrey and Gabriela are out of the picture and Bode is available, it seems like a great time for him to find someone new, and I think Chloe would be a good fit.
Bode is starting a fresh, positive phase in his career, which puts him in a good position to really support Tyler. He’s already offering some help, but I’d love to see their connection develop into a more substantial, long-term storyline.

Paramount+ offers plans starting at $7.99 per month or $59.99 per year. You can choose between the Essential plan at $7.99/month and the ad-free Premium plan at $12.99/month, and enjoy a wide range of content, including popular CBS shows like Fire Country. See the deal here.
It would be great to see Bode take someone under his wing, and he and Tyler already seem to have a connection. Seeing Bode guide a younger firefighter would show how much he’s grown since the beginning of the series, and give him a new dynamic on Fire Country. Combining that with his budding relationship with Chloe feels like a promising storyline for the rest of Season 4, especially now that everyone is moving forward after the difficult events of Season 3.
Find out if everything works out in the mid-season finale of Fire Country next Friday at 9 p.m. Eastern on CBS. And don’t forget to watch for Season 4, which is scheduled to return in 2026!
