The release of The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives last September really launched the women featured on “MomTok” into the mainstream. They’ve become much more than just social media personalities, gaining popularity on Hulu and even appearing in other reality TV shows. For instance, Taylor Frankie Paul was recently announced as the next Bachelorette, and after watching all three seasons of her Hulu series, I’m curious to see what will happen on the ABC dating show.
I’d been meaning to watch The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives for a while, but it kept getting pushed down my to-do list. When Taylor Frankie Paul joined the show, I knew I had to start watching, especially since I’m a big fan of The Bachelor. I wanted to be able to react to Season 3 as soon as it aired in 2025. Surprisingly, I still put it off, and ended up binge-watching all 29 episodes in just two weeks! Now that I’ve finished, I’m wondering how I’m feeling about it all.

29 Episodes Of The Secret Lives Of Mormon Wives In 14 Days: 0/10 Do Not Recommend
I spent nearly two weeks – from November 5th to the 19th – watching the show, and honestly, it’s left me feeling a little worse for wear. A lot of the drama in the first season was incredibly trivial, and I almost stopped watching after just a few episodes. Luckily, Taylor Frankie Paul kept me hooked – and it wasn’t just because of her time on The Bachelorette.
She has a really captivating personality, and while I was excited to see her on the show, I mostly found myself anticipating her next move. I feel exactly the same way about Whitney Leavitt, and I don’t regret it!
Looking back, I’m really glad I didn’t give up on watching this. It’s captivating to see couples deal with a situation where the wives earn more money than their husbands, especially in a society that traditionally values male dominance. These relationships are far more compelling than something trivial like a disagreement over a flask – it’s actually quite scandalous!
Okay, let’s be real. I dove headfirst into this show, and honestly, it took a toll. There were moments – and I’m a little embarrassed to admit this – where I just blurted out, “I’m so over these problematic guys!” completely out of the blue. And the constant manufactured drama? It genuinely stressed me out. It felt like every event, every celebration, was just waiting for someone to burst into tears. It was exhausting, and frankly, a little too real.
OK, time for a deep breath.
I’m really looking forward to seeing the impact Taylor Frankie Paul will have on The Bachelor franchise. That leads me to my first question…

How Will Taylor Frankie Paul Avoid Spoiling Her Season Of The Bachelorette?
For years, The Bachelor has always started airing in January, so it was surprising when Taylor Frankie Paul’s season of The Bachelorette was initially scheduled to take its place in 2026. But now, her season won’t actually air until March 22nd, and filming actually began back in October.
Could Taylor Frankie Paul realistically get engaged in November or December and manage to keep it hidden until her show airs months later? As someone who relies on social media for her career, it seems incredibly difficult. Even contestants with less online presence have accidentally revealed spoilers – can we really expect an influencer to keep such a big secret?

Will The Bachelorette Adapt Its Format To Feature Taylor Frankie Paul More Prominently?
I’m curious to see how The Bachelorette will adapt its usual format with a celebrity lead. Unlike The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives, which simply follows Taylor Frankie Paul and other “MomTok” personalities as they navigate chaotic events, The Bachelorette traditionally has a much more planned and structured approach.
Each episode of The Bachelorette usually includes three dates, a cocktail party, and a rose ceremony. While the Bachelorette is present throughout, the other contestants often get more screen time and attention.
Taylor Frankie Paul is the star of the show, and I’m hoping The Bachelorette will change things up to give us a closer look at her experience. I’d love to see ‘get ready with me’ videos before dates and hear her thoughts as she makes decisions about who gets a rose. Plus, it would be fun to see her teach Jesse Palmer some TikTok dances!
How Much Will Taylor Frankie Paul’s Mom Be Involved?
Liann is a gem! It seems Taylor Frankie Paul’s mom enjoys being in the public eye just as much as her daughter. Her transformation between the first and second seasons was really noticeable – it was almost shocking when I was watching everything back-to-back. And while her involvement in Taylor’s drama was cringeworthy, I secretly hoped she wouldn’t stop contributing to the chaos.

It’s pretty clear she’ll be on Season 22 of The Bachelorette – we already saw her talking with her daughter before the interview on The Golden Bachelor finale. The real question is, how big of a role will she have? You can stream all three seasons of Mormon Wives, as well as The Golden Bachelor, on Hulu.
Will she join them for a group outing? Or will we find out what’s happening by checking in with the guys? Either way, I predict we’ll be seeing a lot of Liann, likely even before the final contestants’ families get involved.

Are Taylor And Dakota Really Broken Up For Good?
Taylor Frankie Paul recently announced she’s engaged, about four months after wrapping up Season 3 of The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives. The latest season of the show focused on the end of her relationship with Dakota Mortensen, which happened after he was found to have been involved with a friend of Liann’s – someone Taylor considered like family.
I’m skeptical about the idea that Taylor and Dakota were never meant to be. Their relationship had issues throughout the three seasons, but they still managed to stay together. Even after Dakota lied, Taylor still slept with him when they were apart, and they seemed on track to reconcile before everything came out with the family friend.
It seems both she and Dakota genuinely hoped to make things work, particularly for their son. Her quickly becoming The Bachelorette after all of this feels like an impulsive reaction.

Will The MomTok Group Bring Its Signature Drama To The Bachelorette Group Date?
Okay, so I’m hearing some fun news about the SLOMW crew! Apparently, MomTok is going to be part of The Bachelorette somehow, which is awesome. Jesse Palmer recently mentioned a group date happening at Dancing with the Stars – and everyone’s guessing it’s so we can see Whitney and Jen compete! He talked about it in an interview with TFP, so it seems pretty likely to happen.
Will the gathering end in drama, like so often happens with this group? Will we discover another secret kiss involving Marciano? Will Ben Affleck make an appearance? And honestly, why is Chase even here?
I recently spent two weeks completely absorbed in watching The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives, and honestly, it was a lot. Beyond the repetitive drama of each episode, there were some genuinely difficult things to process. Because of that, I’m going to take a break from MomTok – the online community focused on motherhood – until it returns to its original, positive purpose. (But let’s be real, that’s probably not going to happen.)
I’m excited for Taylor Frankie Paul to join The Bachelorette when the new season starts in March and to see how the show changes with her as the lead. Season 22 premieres on ABC Sunday, March 22nd, and will be available to stream on Hulu the next day.
