After I Binge-Watched Andor Season 2, Here’s Why My Revenge Of The Sith Theatrical Rerelease Experience Was Totally Worth The Ticket Price
As a dedicated Star Wars enthusiast, I must admit that the first half of 2025 has been an absolute golden age for me. Among all the series airing on Disney+ within this galaxy far, far away, it’s safe to say that Andor stands out as the cream of the crop. The second season of this exceptional series premiered just before the 20th anniversary re-release of Episode III – Revenge of the Sith in cinemas.
Initially, I wasn’t considering spending money again to watch the Sith wreaking their revenge on the big screen since I’ve seen it numerous times on DVD and streaming with my Disney+ subscription.
Then I was able to binge-watch Andor Season 2 for review, and that changed my mind!
Season 2 Of Andor
I was lucky enough to get a sneak peek at the entire second season of Andor before its release, and let me tell you, my plan to watch it slowly went out the window as I ended up binge-watching instead. I can assure you that I won’t reveal any spoilers, except to say that watching Cassian and his team had me on edge, which is remarkable since we already know he makes it to Rogue One!
What I Appreciated More About Revenge Of The Sith This Time
A little over a week had passed since my marathon viewing of Andor Season 2 when I found myself immersed in a cinema, predominantly filled with men my age and fathers accompanied by their children, seemingly eager to instill a love for Star Wars within the younger generation. While I had admired aspects of the film such as its music, grandeur, and certain stunts and acting, experiencing it on the big screen for the first time heightened my appreciation for Natalie Portman’s and Hayden Christensen’s performances.
I Can’t Wait To Rewatch Rogue One
Among all Star Wars movies from the Disney era, Rogue One has always been my favorite and it stands far above the rest for me. After finishing Andor Season 2, I was thinking about jumping right into watching Rogue One, but I’m relieved that I watched Revenge of the Sith beforehand instead. Watching the grand collapse of the Republic on the big screen, followed by the underdog heroes triumphantly – yet at great cost – in the franchise’s first standalone film? I am beyond excited for it!
