After Diddy’s Sons Revealed Their New Docuseries, 50 Cent Shared An On-Brand Take

Over the last month, many Netflix subscribers have been watching “Sean Combs: The Reckoning,” a four-part documentary series detailing the rapper’s career and recent controversies. The series, produced by Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson, has been very popular but has also drawn criticism from Sean Combs (also known as Diddy), who is now considering legal action. Meanwhile, two of Diddy’s sons are working on their own documentary, and Jackson has publicly responded to the situation.

A new docuseries following Justin and Christian “King” Combs is coming to Zeus later this year. The brothers recently announced the project with a short trailer on Instagram. The video shows them watching footage of the courthouse where their father’s trial took place, alongside news headlines. It also includes a clip of Justin receiving a phone call from his father while he’s in prison.

Since the doc was announced, fans have been weighing in on the Combs’ decision to produce a show that chronicles their exploits during Diddy’s incarceration. Among those who checked out the trailer was 50 Cent, who shared the clip in an Instagram post of his own and included a caption:

Wow 👀I want to see this show, 😟 I’m not sure this was a good idea.

50 Cent and Diddy have been rivals for years, and Diddy has publicly mocked Combs since legal issues arose. Despite their history, 50 Cent says his decision to create the documentary Sean Combs: The Reckoning wasn’t about their personal feud. He explains he wanted to show that not everyone in the hip-hop world approved of Combs’ alleged behavior. Some have criticized 50 Cent for making the show, calling it a petty move, but he seems unbothered by that label.

Whether or not Jackson intended any harm, Diddy and his team accused him and those he worked with of using footage they claimed was stolen. Diddy stated he had personally paid for some of the video and planned to use it himself. Both Jackson and the documentary’s director, Alexandria Stapleton, have denied getting the footage illegally, and haven’t explained where they found it. They did acknowledge it was odd that Diddy would have filmed that footage in the first place.

Throughout the ongoing controversy surrounding The Reckoning, Sean Combs’ children have remained supportive. Just last week, Justin visited his father while he’s serving his four-year sentence at FCI Fort Dix in New Jersey. And in 2025, Christian collaborated with Kanye West on an album that featured a song dedicated to Sean, who was still incarcerated.

In July 2025, Sean Combs was found guilty of transporting individuals for the purpose of prostitution following his sex-trafficking trial. While serving his prison sentence, he’s also facing numerous lawsuits accusing him of sexual assault and violence. The public is awaiting details from Christian and Justin regarding their experiences, and it remains to be seen how 50 Cent will respond after viewing the final version of the show detailing these events.
