AFLW Star Moana Hope and Maria Thattil Split After Months of Rumors!

It seems that Australian Rules Football League Women’s (AFLW) standout Moana Hope and her former Miss Universe Australia companion, Maria Thattil, have parted ways following an 18-month relationship.

Although neither Moana nor Maria have made any formal statements about their relationship, rumors suggest that they have parted ways.

On Friday, Confidential asserted that Moana and Maria have parted ways discreetly, following multiple whispers of a separation that surfaced when they chose not to celebrate Christmas together.

Despite the rumors, Maria clarified during her recent conversation with News Corp that she is still in a dedicated relationship with Moana.

‘I’m not single,’ Maria said. ‘I’ve seen rumours… but that’s honestly all it is. 

‘We are good and excited for the year ahead. Excited for 2025 together and it’s going to be great.

‘Nothing has come from us. We are investing in ourselves.’

It comes after Moana and partner Maria Thattil have been at the centre of split rumours for months.

Last month, there were rumors circulating on a well-known gossip platform suggesting a split between the two, as Moana seemed to disappear from Maria’s social media updates.

A fan inquired on Instagram page Influencer Updates whether they had split up, and the account responded: ‘It seems so.’

It seemed like I thought Moana might have been absent from Maria’s social media accounts due to the fact that Moana was participating in I’m A Celebrity.

‘But it looks like Moana is posting at home this weekend,’ they added. 

In November, the last time we saw Moana was on Maria’s Instagram post, whereas Moana’s last post featuring Maria was in September.

In June, Maria openly admired her “one true love,” sharing a unique perspective about their bond.

Last year towards its end, the former Miss Universe Australia began a romantic relationship with Moana, and rumors of their potential engagement have been swirling around.

Typically, they prefer to maintain their romantic life private, however, Maria divulged some uncommon insights about her partner during an episode of The Jess Rowe Big Talk Show podcast.

She shared with host Jessica Rowe that her relationship with Moana differs from past ones, referring to Moana as the “great love” in her life.

Maria, who just started playing Amira Devkar on Neighbours, remarked, ‘It’s astounding, demanding, and helping me grow in ways I’ve never known before.'”

“In her own words, Maria (the newcomer on Neighbours as Amira Devkar) said, ‘I find it incredible, tough, and expanding my horizons in unique ways I’ve never encountered.’

Previously, I believed that to pursue a fulfilling career, I had to transform into a certain type of person, one who was willing to forsake all else. However, look at me now, cherishing genuine love in my life with someone I hold dear.

Maria, who first appeared on the red carpet alongside Moana back in September of last year, shared that she is happy in their relationship and spoke about how they manage life together with Moana’s children.

Athletic individual Moana, formerly married to Isabella Carlstrom, is a mother to Svea, aged 3, and Ahi, 1. Their separation occurred in June of the previous year, concluding their six-year union.

Regarding her family dynamics, Maria shared, “Moana has children, revealing an entirely new aspect of myself I wasn’t aware of before.

On this path, I’m picking up new skills and growing every day. All these possibilities are within my reach, and they only add to my experiences without taking anything away.

‘I believe I am worthy of love, and I acknowledge my own value. It feels right for me to create space for this experience in my life.’

Despite frequently appearing as a pair in public, they seldom spoke openly about the development of their romantic relationship.

Ever since we’ve been treading this romantic journey together for several months now, shared a home, and with the chilly air of November whispering hints, I found myself subtly sensing that my beloved was about to pop the question.

Sharing a sequence of glamorous photos on Instagram from their evening at the Marie Claire Women of the Year Awards, the duo appeared to be deeply in love.

In one photo, Moana even appeared to be about to get down on bended knee and pop the question.

In the comments area, viewers picked up on the romantic vibe of the photos, leading one individual to query: ‘Can you tell me how to secure tickets for the wedding?’

Moana was quick to reply to the curious follower, ‘Watch this space!’, along with a laughing emoji.
