AFL WAG Jesinta Franklin reveals her and husband Buddy's exciting new plans to live off the grid and why she took a step back from work for a year

As an ardent follower of the glamorous lives of celebrities, I can’t help but be thrilled by the latest news about Jesinta and Buddy Franklin. The power couple, who seem to have a Midas touch when it comes to real estate, are at it again! After their record-breaking purchase of a stunning mansion in the Gold Coast hinterland two years ago, they’ve now decided to sell it and move towards a more rustic lifestyle.

As a lifestyle connoisseur, I can share that I, along with my AFL champion spouse Lance “Buddy” Franklin, have decided to re-list our luxurious Gold Coast estate following its unsuccessful auction sale.

The power couple took the sprawling ‘Mediterranean’ style seven-bedroom home off the market last month after it passed in at auction for $11million.

Because the auction price didn’t reach their minimum selling price, Jesinta, aged 33, informed Daily Mail Australia that they intend to list their high-end property for sale again in the upcoming New Year.

She mentioned that they are searching for potential buyers who might be interested in purchasing their luxury family residence, with a price tag estimated at over $11 million.

‘We’ll relist in the New Year, it passed in at auction,’ the model explained.

If someone is looking for a stunning home on the Gold Coast priced at over $11 million, they should reach out to us, as this property was recently sold for that amount!

In the year 2022, the well-known duo, Jesinta and Buddy, made headlines by breaking previous records when they purchased the Reedy Creek estate for a staggering $8.75 million.

Instead, they have decided to sell their current home to experience rural living with their children, including their daughter Tullulah, who is three years old, and their son Rocky, aged two.

2010’s Miss Universe Australia titleholder confessed that she and her partner, Buddy, haven’t discovered their ideal country home as of now, but they spend each weekend scouring for the perfect piece of land instead.

She mentioned that they’re examining numerous properties and often use their weekends to explore the countryside, driving around and hunting for land.

‘We haven’t found the perfect spot yet, but I feel like we’re getting close.

‘It’s really important to get the right piece of land for what we want to do and it’s really exciting.’

Once they acquire their ideal piece of land, the pair intend to erect a high-end farmhouse there, collaborating with Tidal Constructions – the same company that built their residence in the Gold Coast.

She clarified that Tidal Constructions, the firm responsible for constructing our present dwelling, have developed a wonderful friendship with Ben and Dom, the owners. They’ve indicated their readiness to construct our next residence as well.

‘We’d like a luxury farmhouse, barn-style with lots of veggie gardens.’

Apart from that, Jesinta shared insights about how their family dynamics have evolved since Buddy hung up his boots from the AFL in July 2023 due to a calf issue.

‘It’s been so good [having Bud at home],’ she said.

It’s been simply wonderful, the smoothness is noticeable now, and we’re able to mutually assist each other regarding work responsibilities. Overall, it’s been terrific; he truly excels as a father.

Jesinta mentioned that they’ve managed to schedule extra time for family outings and fun activities with their children, emphasizing the significance of these shared moments for them.

She expressed that she’s thoroughly enjoying her role as a mother this year, as she decided to reduce her workload to spend more quality time with the children. This is because Bud is taking a year off for retirement, and Lulu will start school next year.

We’re fortunate to have these moments with the children right now. There’s plenty of traveling in our caravan, camping trips, visits to the beach, the creeks, and waterfalls. It’s all about enjoying these precious moments together before their school year begins.

As a lifestyle enthusiast, I’m excitedly preparing for a change, shedding my urban dwelling by the bustling Gold Coast in favor of a serene rural farmhouse. Here, I plan to immerse myself deeply in the charm of countryside living.

This impressive 8-bathroom property on the Gold Coast spans an expansive area of 1096 square meters, offering breathtaking vistas of the surrounding coastal landscape.

The resort-style home, situated approximately 16 kilometers from downtown Gold Coast, stands on elevated land with spacious surroundings. It comprises of two distinct living spaces.

The spacious two-story primary home features a playroom (rumpus room), a movie room (media room), and a personal lounge area as part of its luxurious facilities.

Additionally, you’ll find a spacious outdoor area featuring a swimming pool, entertainment zone, and connected pavilion. The high-end kitchen boasts a dolomite marble breakfast bar as well.

The design boasts expansive floor-to-ceiling windows adorned with an elegant ‘Spanish’ arch motif, wooden flooring, and walls finished with a rustic lime render.

Another two-bedroom property within the estate functions as a ‘guest quarters’, boasting two tastefully designed bathrooms.

Two years ago, the couple shattered the previous high price for a property purchase in the picturesque backcountry region by buying that magnificent mansion.

The estate, designed by acclaimed architect Reece Keil, generated significant attention when it was initially listed for sale in 2022, making it the most-viewed property on Realestate.com.au during that period.

Previously, Jesinta and Buddy offloaded their high-end residence situated in the eastern suburbs of Sydney for a cool $5 million as part of their relocation plan to the Gold Coast.
