AFL WAG Brit Selwood shares tribute to husband Joel’s brother Adam – after he tragically died in the months following the death of his twin Troy
Brit Selwood posted a touching memorial for her late brother-in-law, Adam, who sadly passed away at the age of 41 in Perth.
The AFL community suffered a great loss when the previous Eagles championship player passed away on May 17, a few months following the heartbreaking demise of his identical twin brother Troy.
Now, sister-in-law Brit has posted a classic black-and-white family photograph featuring football icon, Joel, along with the message: “May you find peace, Adam.
Brit included a broken red love heart, white love heart, and dove emoji in the message.
The photograph features Brit alongside her spouse Joel, along with Joel’s brother Adam, as well as Fiona – the football player’s wife – and their common offspring Lenny and Billie.

The family appeared to be enjoying a day out watching the footy at an AFL stadium.
The police have verified that Adam has died, a tragic event occurring only three months following the demise of his twin brother Troy. However, they are not investigating this incident as something unusual or suspicious.
After the unfortunate event, Joel, who served as the captain of Geelong’s premier team, decided to share a collection of photos on Instagram featuring him with Adam and his sibling Scott.
He captioned the post: ‘Rest up, love you brother. Look after each other.’
On a Monday, the renowned footballer turned 37 years old, and his wife commemorated the event by posting a straightforward message on social media.
Brit shared a monochrome picture of the family, accompanied by this message for Joel Selwood: “Happy Birthday @joelselwood14! We adore you.
A week prior to his scheduled participation in the HBF Run for a Reason, aimed at collecting funds for the mental health charity zero2hero, Adam tragically passed away, honoring Troy’s memory.
On Sunday, his nearest companions opted to carry on with what he initiated and cross the finish line in the race.

The team that was sprinting consisted of ex-players Drew Banfield and Quinten Lynch, along with present standouts Brad Dalziell, Travis Gasper, Sharrod Wellingham, and Matt Rosa.
At the time of his passing, the famous Eagles musician had amassed over $21,000. However, by Sunday, this total had climbed to surpass $76,000.
Throughout his professional tenure, Adam notched up an impressive 187 games with the Eagles, significantly contributing to their triumph at the 2006 AFL Grand Final as a crucial team player.
In the year 2002, he became a member of the football club during the National Draft, and for the subsequent ten years, he played in the highest tier of football competitions, finding great joy in his experience.
Adam mostly played as a tagger before hanging up his boots in 2013.
Following his retirement in 2013, Adam decided to remain involved in football by assuming the position of a development coach with the West Coast team.
Initially, he held the position as the first coach for the Eagles’ women’s football team and played a crucial role in recruiting essential AFLW players to the club.
