Dee Salmin, known for being an AFL player’s wife, shared that she was in a very serious car crash when she was a teenager.

I was really touched hearing Darcy Moore’s girlfriend talk on the Tomorrow Woman podcast. She shared that she went through a really tough time with several injuries and ended up needing to be in the hospital for months. It was incredibly brave of her to open up about it.

The 31-year-old shared that when she was 18, she was in a serious car accident that resulted in broken legs, as well as fractures to her face and jaw.

I spent a couple of years recovering and was hospitalized for three months, during which I had to relearn how to walk.

Dee felt on top of the world after graduating high school, but she received devastating news: she might not be able to walk again and would need to rethink her future.

Even though she went through a really difficult time while recovering, she found a positive side: she met people from all different backgrounds and connected with them.

She dubbed it a ‘huge, pivotal moment’.

The Triple J personality shared that they recently learned to relax and appreciate that life is fleeting.

‘It completely changed my outlook,’ she confessed.

Darcy and Dee have been dating for two years, and people are now speculating they might get engaged. This comes after they took a luxurious trip to Bangkok, Thailand.
