AFL star Dale Thomas and wife Natasha welcome their first child together and reveal the baby girl’s sweet name

AFL star Dale Thomas and his wife Natasha have welcomed their first child. 

Last week saw the arrival of a new baby girl for the couple, who shared this wonderful news with their followers on Tuesday evening.

‘Allegra Thomas. No words for this kind of love,’ they wrote in a joint Instagram post. 

Alongside the tot’s birthdate – July 31 – the pair shared a series of images showing the newborn. 

In one of the delightful snapshots, Allegra’s adoring football dad watched over her from a distance, as she rested on a bed.

The couple’s celebrity friends were quick to congratulate them on their newfound parenthood. 

‘Naw congratulations! Beautiful name for a beautiful girl,’ wrote Emma Hawkins. 

‘Awwwww she is perfection! Massive congratulations to you both,’ commented Rhonda Burchmore.  

‘Yay! So happy for you guys!! She’s the cutest,’ said Abbey Holmes. 

In March, the esteemed AFL player, aged 37, announced on Instagram that he and his partner Natasha were anticipating a new addition to their family. Accompanying the announcement was a series of photos depicting his wife’s expanding belly.

Instead of using elaborate phrases, they chose to convey their feelings through pictures, accompanying them with straightforward captions such as “Mum & Dad” and “Baby Thomas, arriving in August. Our love for you is immense.

In February of the previous year, the happy couple strolled along the aisle at Mount William Station, a countryside venue in Victoria.

Among the 160 attendees were Eddie McGuire, culinary sensation Khanh, Olivia Molly Rogers, Rhonda Burchmore, and football player Heath Shaw, who served as a groomsman at the event.

As an over-the-moon admirer, let me tell you, I was utterly mesmerized when the bride graced the aisle in a breathtaking Mariana Hardwick creation – an off-shoulder ivory gown that boasted a stunning thigh-high split. Simply enchanting!

On the special day they tied the knot, Natasha posted on Instagram: ‘This is a dream – Thank you!’ She also wrote, ‘Now Mr. and Mrs. Thomas.’ (Informal: Now Husband-and-Wife Thomas)

Dale, affectionately known as Daisy, shared with Triple M’s Rush Hour that the choice of the ‘glamping’ theme – an upscale version of camping – was made to establish a festive atmosphere for the upcoming event, as he aimed to create a party-like vibe.

‘It’s all about having fun,’ he said.

In November 2022, Dale drew attention when he announced on his social media platforms that he had popped the question to his longtime partner, Natasha.

A player who once played for both Carlton and Collingwood chose a charming lake house nestled in Daylesford, rural Victoria, as the setting where he proposed.

In the year 2010, Dale emerged as the runner-up on the reality show “I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here!”. He has a child named Tilly from a past romantic connection.
