AFL star Curtis Taylor lists lavish Melbourne townhouse for $1.78m – and reveals grand plans to buy new home with partner Hannah Ilhan

AFL star Curtis Taylor is looking to offload his inner-city Melbourne townhouse.

The ex-North Melbourne striker, currently playing for Collingwood’s reserve team, has put up for sale a three-story house in Moonee Ponds, priced between $1.68 million and $1.78 million.

According to the Herald Sun, Curtis revealed his intention to purchase a home together with Hannah Ilhan, using the money gained from the sale.

Four years ago, Curtis bought a house that’s wonderfully situated near train stations, shopping centers, and local cafes, making it his ideal choice for his first home, which he described as being ‘perfectly located’.

Nestled on one of the most esteemed streets in a suburban neighborhood, the house offers four spacious bedrooms, three completely tiled bathrooms, and an additional powder room.

The house boasts high vaulted ceilings and shiny wooden flooring, with soft carpets and elegant plantation blinds gracing its windows.

There is also an integrated ducted heating and cooling system as well as a ducted vacuum.

The house, designed for entertainment, boasts a three-tier layout, offering a bright, combined living and dining space that flows out to a secluded outdoor patio.

As a devoted enthusiast, I’d proudly say that my dream kitchen has been meticulously designed with top-of-the-line Bosch appliances gracing every corner. The heart of the space is an expansive island bench, crowned with elegant stone countertops. And for those sleek and smooth finishes, the cabinetry boasts a soft-close feature that just makes my heart skip a beat.

All four bedrooms are fitted out with built-in wardrobes and two boast luxe ensuites.

The principal bedroom offers a peaceful escape, boasting a luxurious spa bath and a personal, northward-facing balcony providing panoramic vistas.

Prominent features also encompass a personalized cinema room, a video communication system, and an automated garage linked internally.

Curtis said it was the ideal home to spend quality time with friends and family.

One time, I had the privilege of hosting our family’s Christmas celebration there. That experience is a particularly cherished memory I share with my father’s relatives,” he shared.

Many fond memories I have include hosting friends for meals and cooking for them – it was a joy I truly cherished.

He pointed out that the home theater is the perfect setting for enjoying the AFL finals and NRL State of Origin matches.

Curtis first played in the Australian Football League back in 2019. Over the course of six seasons, he played a total of 76 games for the North Melbourne Kangaroos.

In the year 2025, he joined the VFL team of Collingwood, having been released by the Kangaroos earlier due to a difficult year filled with back and calf injuries.

As a loyal enthusiast, I’m thrilled to share that, come April 2024, I found myself stepping into an official instagram-documented chapter of my life with none other than Curtis – the son of the revered John Ilhan, the pioneering founder of Crazy John’s mobile phone retail empire. His daughter Hannah was by his side, making this moment even more memorable.
