AFL star Bailey Smith sends temperatures soaring as he flaunts his muscular frame in gym selfie
As a lifestyle expert with a penchant for staying updated on popular culture and sports, I find it fascinating to delve into the lives of individuals who have achieved greatness both on and off the field. Bailey Smith, the AFL star joining Geelong Cats for the 2025 season, is one such person whose life story piqued my interest.
AFL star Bailey Smith has tantalised fans with his latest sizzling selfie.
The ex-Western Bulldogs athlete, aged 23, is set to play for the Geelong Cats in the 2025 season. However, on Tuesday, he showcased his well-toned physique.
Taking to his Instagram Stories, Bailey took a break from his workout to share a gym mirror selfie.
He wore a black Nike tank top that showed off his rippling biceps, deltoids and chest muscles.
His unique blonde hairstyle, a mullet, was prominently showcased, as some of it was swept back over his ears while he skillfully adjusted his posture to accentuate his features.
As it turned out, Bailey revealed aspects of his life beyond the football pitch during a question-and-answer session, and some of his responses might astonish his vast fan base.
In a quick-paced question-and-answer interview, the professional AFL athlete met with his clothing brand partner, Cotton On, to help fans who are just getting acquainted with him discover more about him – and certain responses he provided took even the most ardent followers by surprise.
And one question about music shocked Bailey’s fans.

Bailey was inquired about his preference between the globally renowned artist Taylor Swift and the Grammy-honored British singer-songwriter Charli XCX.
To the horror of modern music fans, Bailey revealed he had no idea who Charli XCX even is.
‘Who’s Charli XCX?’ he asked.

‘I swear on my life I don’t know who that is.’
When asked who was behind Charli XCX’s hit song “Brat Summer”, Smith swiftly answered, stating: “I believe it’s Taylor Swift.
In the final moments of the AFL trade period, a four-team transaction saw Smith move from the Western Bulldogs to Geelong.
23-year-old individual was sidelined for the entire year 2024 due to a torn Anterior Cruciate Ligament (ACL), and expressed his desire for a trade as early as September.
‘The future’s exciting. It’s a successful club,’ Smith said at the time.
What really attracts me is not only their approach to football, but also their balanced lifestyle, the kind of people Geelong nurtures – this is what has pulled me in the most.
‘The footy stuff is always amazing, and I suppose it’s a lot of people’s No.1 thing.
‘But it’s more the type of people within the four walls.
I consider it a great opportunity to become acquainted with them, and I hope I can contribute something valuable to the already captivating collection.
