Adolescence star Stephen Graham confirmed for new “deeply affecting” psychological thriller

Stephen Graham is slated to take on a leading role in the upcoming psychological thriller titled “Bunker” – marking his first project following the acclaim he received for his work in the Netflix show “Adolescence“.

The Peaky Blinders actor joins an all-star cast headed up by Penelope Cruz and Javier Bardem.

As a die-hard fan, I’m eagerly awaiting the confirmation of Graham’s role in the movie “Bunker.” According to Variety, it seems that his character is poised to take on a significant part in the film’s narrative.

In the intensely impactful thriller, Javier Bardem and Penélope Cruz, a real-life couple, will portray a husband and wife duo. Their characters will face various emotional, ethical dilemmas, and fears as the story unfolds.

The story revolves around an architect named Bardem, who undertakes a questionable assignment to construct a self-sustaining shelter for a wealthy tech magnate. This professional endeavor, however, stirs doubts in his wife, Cruz, about the longevity of their 17-year union.

The film, titled “Bunker,” will be helmed by Florian Zeller, the same writer who specifically envisioned Penélope Cruz and Javier Bardem as the lead actors.

The playwright and director, who is also known as The Father and The Son, was overflowing with admiration upon hearing the news about casting Graham.

In mid-March, a four-part series was released on Netflix, and it swiftly rose to become their all-time most-viewed UK title, surpassing 114 million views.

Apart from its impressive viewership, the program also received rave reviews, earning almost a perfect rating of 99% on Rotten Tomatoes, a platform that collects critical assessments.

Adolescence is available now on Netflix.

There is currently no release date for Bunker.
