Adele's full Munich setlist revealed as she welcomes tens of thousands to the first of her sold out shows

As a seasoned concert-goer with years of attending various music events under my belt, I must say that the first performance of Adele’s comeback tour has been quite the spectacle. The excitement was palpable, but there were some hiccups along the way – like the hefty prices for merchandise and the potential threat of thunderstorms.

On Friday evening, I was absolutely thrilled to be part of the global crowd that journeyed far and wide to witness the spectacular start of Adele’s ten-night residency in Munich. And let me tell you, she truly lived up to the hype!

Apart from performing at two massive concerts in London’s Hyde Park in July 2022, the 36-year-old singer born in Tottenham hasn’t given any European performances since 2016.

In the heart of Munich’s Messe center, I found myself standing before an extraordinary open-air pop-up stadium, packed with 80,000 enthusiastic fans. On that stage, I proudly watched as the songstress graced us with her enchanting presence.

Before the upcoming performances, the artist with an 11-year-old son named Angelo, expressed: ‘There is no better way I can imagine spending my summer, concluding this delightful era of my life and career.’

During the course of the tour, the performance lineup might evolve, but here’s a list of all the hits Adele played on her initial concert night.

To commence the performance, the music maestro kicked off the event by playing an instrumental version of her 2021 hit “Strangers By Nature”. Then, she was lifted up towards the stage, clad in a long, dramatically dark midnight-blue dress with a grand, flowing train.

As a die-hard fan, I couldn’t help but marvel at her as she performed her chart-topping gem from 2015, “Hello.” This song dominated the airwaves for an impressive 49 weeks, reaching its peak at the coveted number one spot.

Gazing over the bustling throng, she inhaled deeply and belted out the famous phrase, ‘Here I am’, followed by a friendly greeting in her distinctive North London tone, accompanied by a wave, addressing the crowd.

This was swiftly followed by Rumour Has It, I Drink Wine, as well as Water Under The Bridge.

With her eyes shut tight and tightly gripping her beautiful long dress, Adele proceeded to powerfully sing “Easy On Me” from her fourth studio album titled “30”.

Always mindful of her fans, Adele ensured there was plenty of conversation during her performance and at one moment had everyone giggling when she halted the show to get a part of her dress taken off due to a heavy rainstorm making it excessively weighty.

Afterward, Adele honored her early career by featuring “One and One” in her second studio album 21. This was the sole original track penned for the album, distinct from the other songs that were motivated by the man who influenced the rest of the record.

I’ll Be Waiting, Oh My God and Send My Love (To Your New Lover) were next.

Under the cloak of night, Adele serenaded us with her soulful renditions of Home Town Glory, Love In The Dark, and Make You Feel My Love.

In a rush, I paused just long enough to remove my footwear before taking a seat on the black grand piano’s stool, catching my breath amidst the whirlwind of daily life.

While the rhythm flowed through her, she sang Adele’s “Chasing Pavements” from her first album titled “19.”

Following that performance, it was time for “All I Ask.” Subsequently, she astounded the audience with her rendition of the James Bond theme song, “Skyfall.” As the microphone stood before her, an awe-inspiring light show enveloped her, and smoke swirled behind.

She decided to revisit the old collection once more, since she was standing there performing Set Fire To The Rain before the track All Night Parking came on.

Adèle showcased her remarkable vocal abilities, effortlessly hitting each note during the live performance of ‘Hold On’, while the stage was illuminated by a series of dancing blue lights.

To avoid letting down some of her ardent followers, the attractive brunette performed ‘When We Were Young’, inquiring if the audience was prepared, as confetti shot from cannons followed.

As a soft melody from a grand piano filled the room, Adele performed her second-to-last song for the evening, titled Someone Like You.

I completed the initial performance of my ten-show series with an iconic rendition of “Rolling in the Deep.” As fireworks and other spectacular pyrotechnics burst into the night, I felt a rush of adrenaline and pride.

When she completed her final note, a shower of pink confetti and heart-shaped decorations rained down from cannon-like devices and swept over the audience.

During Adele’s show, she sang many of her most popular songs and kept the audience entertained with her witty remarks. However, the initial performance wasn’t flawless; it had a few hiccups.

Fans were said to be shocked at the ‘astronomical’ prices of merchandise.

There was concern that spectators might experience violent thunderstorms alongside their enjoyment of the concert, as meteorologists warned about severe weather conditions and the organizers prepared for emergencies.

“Stormy weather is moving in from the west, bringing strong winds that could reach up to 60 kilometers per hour or approximately 17 meters per second.”

The warning emphasized that being outdoors could expose you to a significant risk of lightning strikes, advising everyone to seek shelter instead.

Just after Adele’s concert plans faced uncertainty due to the cancellation of the last rehearsal in Munich, as she had to postpone it because of concerns about severe weather conditions such as storms.

The well-known celebrity, aged 36, along with her team, chose to call off the event due to forecasts of severe storms and heavy downpours.

As a seasoned musician with years of touring under my belt, I can confidently say that this year will mark the end of my European tour with a memorable run of 10 shows in Munich. Beyond these performances, I have a few more sold-out gigs lined up in the glitzy city of Las Vegas, and these will be the only shows I’ll play on the old continent. It’s bittersweet to think that my European journey may soon come to an end, but I am grateful for the memories I’ve made and the fans who have supported me throughout this incredible adventure.

The celebrity mentioned earlier stated before their residency in Munich, “My tank is running low right now,” indicating that they have no current plans for new music. After the intense work they’ve been doing, they desire a substantial break and plan to explore other creative avenues temporarily. Interestingly, they don’t even sing at home, which seems odd to them.

Apart from sharing about her upcoming Munich residency, Adele additionally disclosed that she’s developed a strong, robust posterior as a result of rigorous training, similar to an athlete’s regimen. This training has prepared her to cover distances ranging from four to five miles each night during her performances on stage.

Adele begins her 10-concert series at the specially constructed Munich Messe stadium this coming Friday, expressing that she has been exercising intensely in order to ready herself for the “huge” shows ahead.

Over the course of her weekends performing in Las Vegas, Adele shared an update about her fitness routine: “I’m hitting the gym hard, and I’ve been going for multiple workouts each day.”

As a lifestyle enthusiast, I’ve found myself back in top form! My rear has the strength to shift mountains – quite literally! This transformation is due to my relentless workout regimen. To put it bluntly, I’m pushing myself like an athlete preparing for a grand event, and that stage is nothing short of colossal!

Ever since I’ve re-joined my gym, I’ve been putting in some serious work, going at it twice or thrice daily without any letup, just like old times.

Adele herself asked organizers to construct a unique stage for her, allowing her to interact more closely with the audience.

In the spirit of our shared passion, I expressed my desire for a stage amidst the audience. To which, they graciously responded, “We can only bring you there if you tread the path upon a stage itself.”

As someone who has always been a bit of a couch potato, I know that I need to improve my physical fitness if I want to enjoy long walks at night. So, I’ve decided to challenge myself and aim for a distance of four or five miles each time I go out. It won’t be easy, but I’m determined to build up my stamina and make the most of this beautiful world around me. Wish me luck!
