Adele is left temporarily DEAF in one ear after suffering from an agonising infection which she claims was 'more painful than childbirth'

As a dedicated follower of Adele’s journey, I must say that her resilience and determination never cease to amaze me. This latest challenge she’s facing with her ear infection is yet another testament to her strength and spirit. Having personally experienced childbirth myself, I can only imagine the pain she must have endured, and it’s heartening to know that she’s finally on the road to recovery.

For about eight weeks, Adele has been dealing with a painful ear infection, which has caused temporary hearing loss in one of her ears.

36-year-old artist famed for her hit “Hello” endured pain more intense than childbirth following her diagnosis with an uncommon and severe infection.

Adele informed her audience that while she was staying for ten days in Munich, Germany in August, she picked up a rare type of water-borne bacteria.

She said: ‘I have an ear infection, which is pretty grim.

‘I’ve never had one before. It’s the most painful thing that’s ever, ever happened to me.

‘It was worse than childbirth. It’s a rare water bacteria. It’s very hard to treat.

For a while, I was taking the incorrect antibiotic, but eventually, they switched me to one that began to take effect.

After a two-year stint, Adele (mother of 12-year-old Angelo from her former marriage with Simon Konecki) is wrapping up her “Weekends With Adele” residency in Las Vegas, having occasionally taken the stage there.

Initially, the singer was given the incorrect type of antibiotics for her illness, but later, she started taking the right ones to treat it.

The wrong medication left the performer wanting to cut her ear off because of the pain.

She said: ‘I was on the wrong antibiotics for a few days and they managed to give me one that started to work. I wanted to chop my ear off a few times.

‘I’m no longer in pain, which is great but I’m a bit deaf in my left ear!’

Currently, the singer, who is now betrothed to sports agent Rich Paul, shares a love for felines. She has designed a unique space in her residence with the intention of rescuing numerous cats someday.

She mentioned that she plans to take on the role of an emergency foster mother for cats as soon as she settles into her new home.

‘I’ve created a room that my fiancé doesn’t even know exists and I’m going to have loads of crates built into the wall with all the supplies.

‘He’ll never know about it but now he might because I’ve said it on stage.

‘I would happily do it full-time.’
