“Addictive” Netflix series confirms ‘villain’ return for season 5

Netflix series Emily in Paris has confirmed the return of a major ‘villain’ character in season 5.

As I step back into the gaming world for another round, it’s confirmed that the character played by Thalia Besson – Geneviève – will make a return in upcoming episodes, as reported by Variety.

In season 4, the character was nurtured by Emily, but later attempted to swindle her clients and win over her romantic interest, Gabriel.

Additionally, Lucas Bravo plays Gabriel, Lucien Laviscount is Alfie, Ashley Park portrays Mindy Chen, Philippine Leroy-Beaulieu takes on Sylvie, Samuel Arnold assumes the role of Julien, Bruno Gouery appears as Luc, William Abadie joins as Antoine Lambert, and Eugenio Franceschini will be cast as Marcello. They are all set to appear alongside Besson and Lily Collins as Emily.

The program, praised as “addictive” by Thrillist, has been airing continuously since the year 2020, and its latest fourth season was released in two segments last year.

In Season 5, events are planned to transition to Rome as Emily assumes management of Agence Grateau’s Roman office, preceding Gabriel’s arrival for a visit.

In the upcoming episodes, the audience will miss seeing Camille as actor Camille Razat announced her departure from the series earlier this year, having chosen to step back from it.

She expressed on Instagram that it was an exceptional journey, packed with development, imagination, and moments she’ll never forget. Furthermore, she hinted at the possibility of her comeback, emphasizing that she’ll forever remain connected to the universe of Emily in Paris.

Razat added, “This character has been very significant to me, and it seems fitting that her narrative arc concluded. It was the perfect time to venture into new adventures. I appreciate the wonderful journey we shared together.

Currently, filming for season 5 is happening both in Rome and Paris. This indicates that there’s less worry for fans regarding the absence of scenes set in the City of Light.

Emily in Paris seasons 1-4 are streaming on Netflix.
