Fans in the UK can now stream all nine seasons of the popular early 2000s teen drama One Tree Hill on Netflix. The series, known for its emotional storylines, will be available next week.
The show, which aired from 2003 to 2012, took place in the made-up town of Tree Hill, North Carolina. It followed the lives of Lucas and Nathan Scott, who were half-brothers with a complicated relationship, and starred Chad Michael Murray and James Lafferty in the lead roles.
This series explores the complicated relationship and intense competition between two brothers, following them from their teenage years into adulthood. It delves into their experiences with ambition, love, friendship, and the pain of heartbreak, both on and off the basketball court.

I really got into this teen drama – it was seriously popular! One person on IMDb even gave it a perfect 10 out of 10, saying it didn’t get enough credit. And I totally agree with another fan on Rotten Tomatoes who said it was completely addictive. I couldn’t stop watching!
Hilarie Burton and Sophia Bush played Lucas’s girlfriends, Peyton and Brooke, and Bethany Joy Lenz was his best friend Haley, who later dated Nathan.
In August 2024, the long-anticipated sequel series gained significant momentum when Deadline announced that Burton and Bush would be executive producers on the new spin-off show.
The Warner Bros TV series would bring back some of the original actors, and Becky Hartman Edwards would be the lead writer and executive producer.
The new series takes place two decades after the original, following Brooke and Peyton as they raise their teenage children. The story will center around the challenges of love, self-doubt, and loss that their kids face as they grow up.
Although there were likely casual talks with other actors from the original cast, no one else has officially signed on to return. Most people think Bill Murray isn’t planning to come back either.
The show’s revival will feature Jensen and Danneel Ackles as executive producers under their Chaos Machine production company, with Emily Moss Wilson also producing.
One Tree Hill is available to watch from Sunday 1 March on Netflix.
