Adam Sandler’s Netflix comedy sequel shares cameo-filled teaser footage

Happy Gilmore‘s sequel boasts a star-studded cast in a newly-released teaser.

In 1996, a comedy movie featuring Adam Sandler hit the screens, centering around an eager hockey player who struggles to gather funds to prevent his beloved grandmother’s house from being lost.

Yet, it turns out he unexpectedly develops a knack for golf and starts participating in cash tournaments, stirring jealousy amongst fellow players because of his unpredictable conduct and inherent talent.

Last year, Netflix unveiled that they’re planning a highly anticipated follow-up to their movie, with Adam Sandler reprising his famous character once again.

In the upcoming “Happy Gilmore 2”, some skilled golf pros will be hitting the greens with the legendary actor, as hinted in a sneak peek from backstage.

In the video, Scottie Scheffler reminisced that being on the set evoked many joyful recollections for him, as it connected to the filming of the initial movie.

He continues by expressing it as an “entirely unique situation” and finds it hard to accept that he’s involved in it.

Additionally, the video features professional golfer Rory McIlroy along with actors like Ben Stiller and Christopher McDonald, reprising their roles as Hal L. and Shooter McGavin from earlier times.

So far, the specific storyline for Happy Gilmore 2 remains secret, but a trailer unveiled last year hints at an intense showdown between Gilmore and McGavin in the future.

It appears that Julie Bowen will reprise her role as Virginia Venit, who was a romantic interest for Gilmore, suggesting that viewers may get insights into their relationship progression in the upcoming sequel.

Apart from Travis Kelce, the talented artist known as Bad Bunny (whose real name is Antonio Martinez Ocasio) will also be part of the cast. In addition, professional golfers Bryson DeChambeau, Brooks Koepka, Justin Thomas, and Will Zalatoris are included in the lineup.

In the upcoming movie that Kyle Newacheck is set to direct, Benny Safdie – a partner in the production of Sandler’s “Uncut Gems” – and comedian Nick Swardson have been enlisted for unspecified roles.

Happy Gilmore 2 will be released on Netflix later this year
