Adam Peaty’s estranged mum pens a poignant post about ‘children being loved without expectation’ as Gordon Ramsay’s Netflix doc airs – despite her demands to be removed from the show after wedding snub

Adam Peaty’s mother, who is currently separated from him, recently shared a message online about the importance of unconditional love for children. This post comes as a new documentary featuring celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay is released on Netflix, even though she had previously asked for her parts to be edited out.

Despite asking producers to remove her from the final version, Caroline, 60, will still appear in the upcoming season of Being Gordon Ramsay.

This six-episode series follows chef Gordon Ramsay, 59, as he balances family life with the launch of five new restaurants in London’s 22 Bishopsgate skyscraper.

I was so excited to see Holly and Adam celebrate their engagement! The party was a real family affair, with both the Ramsay and Peaty families there to share in the joy. Adam’s mum, Caroline, even made an appearance – it was lovely to see everyone together.

The party was recorded several months before Adam’s initial family issues arose, ultimately leading to Caroline being excluded from the wedding guest list.

After the show aired, Caroline shared a message on social media observing that parents tend to emphasize a child’s progress, discipline, and achievements, while grandparents prioritize simply enjoying time with their grandchildren.

Forget about grades, stress, or trying to be perfect. Research indicates that children who have close relationships with their grandparents tend to be more emotionally secure by the time they’re ten years old.

‘When a child is loved without expectation, self-worth becomes internal, not negotiated.’

Just days previously Caroline wrote about ‘dark times’.

She posted a peaceful picture of a sunset with a message celebrating someone’s strength and kindness. The message said that this person shows how it’s possible to overcome difficult times and remain loving, genuine, and full of light.

Someone familiar with the situation shared that Caroline had contacted Netflix to express her concern about being filmed for Gordon’s show without her permission. Because of this, she didn’t want to be included in the program.

From what I understand, there were actually signs posted all over the place letting people know filming was happening at the party. It seems like they tried to make that clear to everyone who was there.

According to The Sun, the posters said that simply attending meant you agreed to be filmed for the show.

‘The Peaty family members were not interviewed so no additional consent would have been needed.’

This came after Adam decided not to invite his family to his wedding with Holly, which was held at Bath Abbey on December 27th.

The issue stemmed from a family disagreement, specifically Caroline being left out of Holly’s bachelorette party last year.

Adam’s sister, Beth, attended the wedding to stand in for him and was a bridesmaid alongside Holly.

Okay, so I’ve been following this drama, and Gordon finally addressed the whole situation with Peaty. Basically, he’s saying Peaty created his own problems – it was all his own doing, really. It wasn’t a two-way street, according to Gordon; it was entirely self-inflicted on Peaty’s end. It’s a pretty direct take, and he’s been quiet about it until now!

He told Daily Mail: ‘I was told we were accused of saying inappropriate things

I assure you, everything I said was perfectly appropriate. I was charming and funny, and I simply recounted how they initially met.

I was incredibly anxious when I heard the news – my daughter had gone on a date with a famous swimmer. My wife and I suspected something was up when she got home smelling strongly of chlorine.

Gordon explained that the situation is entirely their own doing. He emphasized they’ve done nothing to provoke it – there was no disrespect or dismissiveness on their part; they extended a welcoming attitude.

We went all out for them, sending a car with a driver to pick them up for the engagement party and making them feel incredibly special. That’s why the negative press that followed was so upsetting. Tana was particularly hurt by it.

‘It was Adam and Holly’s wishes for them not to attend and so we had to respect that.

There are some family matters for Holly and Adam’s parents to resolve, and it’s separate from anything Tana and I are involved in. However, we’re keen to let them build their future together and move forward.
