Adam Peaty’s family is reportedly upset and has called him a ‘narcissist’ because he didn’t allow his mother to attend his wedding.
Following a family dispute, Olympic athlete Adam’s mother, Caroline, 59, won’t be allowed to attend his wedding to Holly, 25, this Christmas.
On Tuesday, Adam’s Aunt Louise spoke out about the family conflict, saying her sister was deeply upset. She explained that Holly and Adam had caused her sister a great deal of pain.
She said Adam feels embarrassed by his brothers, and then strangely posted photos of Holly’s bachelorette party on her Threads profile.
Adam’s family now says he’s become a narcissist, claiming wealth has changed him and made him forget his roots.
Someone from the family said they received a ‘save the date’ notice for a series of events planned at various country houses.

‘I’m on Universal Credit — I can’t afford that.
‘Adam has been changed by money, fame and fortune. He seems to have forgotten where he came from.
‘We think he has treated Caroline appallingly. You can hear it in her voice. She’s heartbroken.’
Daily Mail has contacted representatives for comment.
Okay, so I’ve heard from someone close to the situation, and apparently, Adam’s family was happy for him when he got engaged to Holly, but now… it’s like he’s been drifting away from them. They feel totally shut out, like over the past year he’s just gotten further and further away and they barely see him anymore. It’s so sad, honestly! I just want everyone to be happy, but it sounds like things are really strained with his family now.
Some family members feel Adam is closer to Holly and her family, and that he’s become distant from his own.
‘Caroline is devoted to her grandson George and will move heaven and earth to care for him.
With things becoming more strained, disagreements have occurred, but Caroline consistently tries to avoid conflict because she cherishes her relationship with her grandson and wants to remain involved in his life.

‘Recently, though, things have come to a head.’
Both families have shared damaging information about the falling out with Katie Hind, a showbiz editor at the Daily Mail, who has now revealed the surprising reason Caroline wasn’t invited to the wedding.
Honestly, I was shocked when Holly didn’t invite Caroline to her hen party! Caroline is basically the reason Adam became an Olympic champion – she was instrumental in his success! And there she was, stuck at home in Uttoxeter, looking after little George, Adam’s son with Eirianedd. It just didn’t seem right, after everything she’d done for him. I mean, seriously, how could she be left out?
On Monday, Caroline posted a message to Instagram that many found puzzling. The image read: ‘If you truly love someone, you shield them from hurt, rather than being the one who causes it.’
She captioned the post with: ‘The ones I love are the people who hurt me the most.’
The post quickly received many comments and likes from Adam Peaty’s family. His aunt, Louise, publicly explained why he wasn’t included in a recent bachelorette party, and others discussed the mental health struggles of Adam’s brothers.
She explained that the woman was excluded because she wouldn’t apologize for canceling the trip to Bath. This was due to the initial train cancellation and, more importantly, because she supported her son and his brothers, who have ADHD and mental health challenges, despite Adam feeling they were a source of embarrassment.
It seems acceptable that Adam profited from writing about his brothers’ difficulties. I’m curious – if you’re a mother, would you prioritize maintaining a relationship with a celebrity over supporting two sons who needed you?
She mentioned a trip to Bath shortly after it became known that his parents and other relatives were invited to the wedding, and Caroline was thrilled to have already purchased a dress for the occasion.

However, the source says the celebrity and his future wife weren’t happy with the outfit, so they offered to purchase a new one that the couple preferred. The Peatys were given a train trip and hotel stay to go shopping in Bath, and they gratefully accepted.
The trip was cancelled because train services heading south were disrupted – either delayed or cancelled – following several stabbings that occurred on a train in Huntingdon two weeks prior.
Louise publicly criticized Holly for ignoring her future mother-in-law, who had been incredibly welcoming and kind. She explained that Holly’s actions deeply hurt her sister, and it would likely take a very long time for her to recover, if she ever did.
I was happy to hear you enjoyed your hen do, Holly. Every bride deserves that! But I also need to say that I was really hurt by how you treated someone I care about deeply – someone I still love.
She welcomed you into her home and showed you kindness, but you chose not to include her in your bachelorette party. Interestingly, Adam invited your father to his bachelor party. It seems a double standard is at play.
You invited so many people – your mom (which was great!), her assistant, your sisters, your friends, and even my niece. It’s just surprising my sister and your future mother-in-law weren’t included.
I’ve seen messages between you and Adam discussing this and other things, and honestly, I’m disappointed in both of you. You’ve really hurt my sister, and it will take a long time for her to recover, if she ever does.
The online post reportedly caused significant distress to Holly and her fiancé, Adam, a world champion swimmer. The couple has been together for over two years and plans to marry at Bath Abbey this Christmas.
Someone close to the Peaty family shared that the swimmer deeply upset his mother by contacting her after a social media post from his aunt. He told her she wasn’t welcome at the wedding and that she would no longer have contact with his son, George, or any future grandchildren.

Adam sent a message to his mother, obtained by the Daily Mail, where he said he planned to cut ties with his family, even though they had always supported his career.
Caroline sparked a big reaction online when she shared a heartfelt message on Instagram. She wrote, ‘Sometimes you cry because words can’t describe how much pain you’re feeling.’
Adam and Holly first connected in 2021 while Holly’s sister, Tilly, was a contestant on Strictly Come Dancing, and Adam was part of the show as well.
Adam split with his partner Eirianedd Munro, the mother of his son George, the following year.
He and Holly started dating in May 2023 and publicly confirmed they were a couple the next month.
