Adam Brody and Leighton Meester melt hearts with sweet displays of affection at Golden Globes 2026

Leighton Meester looked incredibly stylish as she supported her husband, Adam Brody, at the 2026 Golden Globes, held at the Beverly Hilton on Sunday.

Oh my gosh, they were amazing on the red carpet! Seriously, this couple – can you believe they’ve been married almost twelve years?! – they just looked incredible. But it wasn’t just the outfits, it was how they were with each other. All these little, sweet moments, just for each other, that’s what really got everyone’s attention. I was completely captivated, honestly!

Meester turned heads in a shimmering purple and yellow Miu Miu dress, while Brody opted for a cool and classic look with a grey suit jacket and sunglasses.

They were completely smitten, constantly touching and gazing lovingly at each other.

Brody received a nomination for Best Actor in a Musical or Comedy Television Series for his work on ‘Nobody Wants This.’ He’s up against well-known actors like Martin Short, Jeremy Allen White, Seth Rogen, Glen Powell, and Steve Martin.

Adam expressed his gratitude and pride that the show received a Golden Globe nomination. He shared that it’s a pleasure working with the talented and dedicated cast and crew.

This latest appearance happened only a week after the Critics’ Choice Awards, where Ariana Grande seemed very impressed with the couple.

The 32-year-old actress from Wicked seemed incredibly excited and amazed as she arrived at the ceremony, exclaiming ‘wow’ multiple times, as seen in a new video posted on X.

Ariana, wearing a delicate pink and sparkly dress by Alberta Ferretti, briefly told the couple how much she cared for them before someone kindly guided her away.

Okay, seriously, have you seen Brody and Meester lately? Ever since ‘Nobody Wants This’ came out last year, they’ve been absolutely killing it on every red carpet. I can’t look away – they’re just always the most stunning couple at every awards show! I’m obsessed, honestly.

At the 2025 Critics’ Choice Awards last year, Brody dedicated his win to his wife.

He turned to his wife, Leighton, and said, “My love, thank you. Thank you for being my partner in life and for everything we’ve shared. Thank you for our wonderful family. I love you more than anything.”

Adam Meester and Monica Brody met while working on the film ‘The Oranges’ in 2011 and later married in February 2014.

They generally keep to themselves, but every now and then, they share a peek at what makes their relationship so strong and loving.

The couple have two children: a 10-year-old daughter named Arlo Day, and a five-year-old son whose name they haven’t shared publicly.

The 83rd Golden Globe Awards celebrated the best in film and television, bringing together top stars at the Beverly Hilton.

Nikki Glaser is returning as host for the second year, and she’s expected to bring her famously unfiltered and edgy humor to the event, likely keeping the celebrity guests on their toes.

In a statement released in March, 41-year-old Joel McHale said hosting the Golden Globes was the most enjoyable experience of his professional life.

Honestly, I’m really excited about an upcoming audition – it feels like everything I’ve been working towards! I’m hoping to impress the casting directors from The White Lotus. I’ve got my sights set on a role in season four – I’m envisioning a Scandinavian Pilates instructor, a bit mysterious and with a hidden backstory. Fingers crossed they see what I bring to the table!

One Battle After Another is the frontrunner for nominations, receiving an impressive nine in total.

The Leonardo DiCaprio film received several major nominations, including Best Picture, Best Director, and Best Screenplay. DiCaprio himself is nominated for Best Actor, while Benicio del Toro and Sean Penn are up for Best Supporting Actor.

The film is up for Best Picture – Musical or Comedy, facing competition from Blue Moon, Bugonia, Marty Supreme, No Other Choice, and Nouvelle Vague. Many were surprised that Wicked: For Good didn’t receive a nomination.

The Best Picture – Drama category features a competitive lineup including the films Frankenstein, Hamnet, It Was Just An Accident, The Secret Agent, Sentimental Values, and Sinners.

The popular Netflix series Adolescence continued its award-winning streak, earning nominations for its entire cast. Stars Stephen Graham, Erin Doherty, and Owen Cooper (age 16) were all recognized, and Ashley Walters received a surprising nomination as well.

The show received a nomination for Best Limited TV Series, Anthology Series, or TV Movie, joining titles like All Her Fault, The Beast in Me, Black Mirror, Dying for Sex, and The Girlfriend. This brings its total number of nominations to five.

As a lifestyle and awards season observer, I have to say ‘The White Lotus’ really surprised us all! It just edged out ‘Adolescence’ with six nominations, and honestly, it’s no shock – the show boasts such an incredible cast, and a lot of those nods were for their performances. It really highlighted the acting talent involved.

As a huge fan, I always look forward to this major awards show! It’s the one that really celebrates the very best in movies and television, and this year I’m thrilled they’re including podcasts too – recognizing talent across 28 different categories. It’s a fantastic event!

This year, each of the 28 award categories has six nominees, except for Cinematic and Box Office Achievement, which has eight.

The competition for Best Male Actor in a Drama Television Series is expected to be fierce, with strong contenders including Sterling K. Brown (Paradise), Diego Luna (Andor), Gary Oldman (Slow Horses), Mark Ruffalo (Task), Adam Scott (Severance), and Noah Wyle (The Pitt).

Owen Cooper and Erin Doherty have both been nominated for acting awards. Sixteen-year-old Owen Cooper is up for Best Supporting Actor in a TV series, limited series, or TV movie.

He’ll be competing against several of his fellow actors, including Ashley Walters, Billy Crudup (from The Morning Show), Walton Goggins and Jason Isaac (both from The White Lotus), and Tramell Tillman from Severance.

Oh my gosh, Erin is nominated against Aimee Lou Wood – Aimee Lou Wood! – for Best Supporting Actress in a TV series or limited series/movie for The White Lotus! I’m so excited, it’s going to be incredible to watch them both, but seriously, Erin deserves this so much! I’m already on the edge of my seat!

Rounding out the nominees are Carrie Coon from The White Lotus, Hannah Einbinder from Hacks, Catherine O’Hara from The Studio, and Parker Posey, also from The White Lotus.

Paul Mescal, the Irish actor, has been nominated for Best Supporting Actor in a Motion Picture. He’s up against Benicio Del Toro, Jacob Elordi, Sean Penn, Adam Sandler, and Stellan Skarsgard, as well as himself for his performance in ‘Hamnet’ and another nomination for Benicio Del Toro for ‘One Battle After Another’.

The Best Screenplay category featured Paul Thomas Anderson for One Battle After Another, Ronald Bronstein and Josh Safdie for Marty Supreme, Ryan Coogler for Sinners, Jafar Panahi for It Was Just an Accident, and Maggie O’Farrell for Hamnet.

Joachim Trier’s Norwegian film, Sentimental Value, received eight nominations, closely following One Battle After Another in the film categories.

Ryan Coogler’s film, Sinners, received seven award nominations, while Chloe Zhao’s Hamnet and Jon M. Chu’s Wicked: For Good each earned five nominations.

Everyone was surprised when the sequel to ‘Wicked’ wasn’t nominated for Best Musical or Comedy. However, both Cynthia Erivo and Ariana Grande did receive nominations for their acting performances.

Several expected nominations were missing, including one for Sydney Sweeney’s performance as Christy for Best Actress in a drama. Jennifer Lawrence (Die My Love), Tessa Thompson (Hedda), and Julia Roberts (After The Hunt) were nominated, along with Eva Victor, who received a surprise nomination for her work in the independent film Sorry, Baby.

Irish actress Jessie Buckley (Hamnet), who is seen as the front-runner, completes the category.

Neither Kathryn Bigelow’s nuclear thriller, A House of Dynamite, nor Bradley Cooper’s Is This Thing On? received any nominations.

Oh my gosh, Timothée is so deserving of a Golden Globe! I was absolutely gutted when he didn’t win last year for ‘A Complete Unknown’ – everyone was saying he had it in the bag! But he did just win Best Actor at the Critics Choice Awards, which is amazing, and I’m crossing everything that this is finally his year! Four nominations and he has to take one home, right? I just know he’s going to be incredible when they announce the winners.

He’s nominated for Best Actor in a Musical or Comedy Motion Picture this year for his role in Marty Supreme.
